kitten dragging hine legs and rear end

My 4 1/2 month old kitten starting walking weird with her one leg sliding now it seems like she is having difficulty walking with both legs sliding and her rear end on the ground. I brought her to the vet and he did not know what was wrong. She has been basically laying around for the past 3 weeks and the vet said it could be a number of things but to wait that possibly she hurt herself and to give it some time. Does anyone know what could be wrong? I am very concerned

Three weeks???  Get another vet.....today.

Wait and see the vet said?  That is unacceptable IMO.  This poor little one needs attention yesterday.  Please get somewhere today.

It could be sooooo many things it cannot be speculated on without a professional and tests.

I agree. A new vet is in order. It could progress to permanent paralysis depending on what it is, but why take the chance??
