He's gorgeous, Carolina! I'm so happy he is getting a home. How can anyone beat an animal? The thought makes me physically ill.

Yay! Way to go! He is one handsome boy!!! Thank you so much for being, as always, generous with your love towards our feline friends. He so deserves a loving, calm home - and you're doing that for him! Thank you! Can't wait to hear updates!

So glad he has a new forever home. I hope whoever beat him with a broom gets the same treatment when he goes to wherever people like that go when they die.

Congratulations on your beautiful new baby.

McCreamy is coming home tomorrow morning. I am nervous, and hoping for the best :cross:
I will just trade carriers with the rescuer as he can't be handled from the carrier

He will be on his own room here, without any contact with the kitties for at least a week - depending on how stressed he is, I might not even do a scent exchange until the second week.
I have a full set of baby gates so I can use it when the time comes for them to meet.
Currently he is eating 100% wet where the morning and evening meals are 1/2 wet and 1/2 raw. I will push a quick intro to raw ASAP.

Wish us good luck - this will be a big challenge

He is home, resting comfortably on Minka's bed :lol3:
Like i thought, he is hissy, and feisty, and does charge to bite. He had a stressful day and a long drive, so I think with time he will come around
He does exchange blinks, and LOVES Fd chicken, which is great. I am off to get his wet food and raw (currently eating NV chicken) and will hope for the best on his raw transition. This will be a very slow intro, of course. He has his own room now.

Best of luck. I am sure McCreamy will eventually love his new home. He is one gorgeous kitty and so lucky to be adopted by you, especially after his horrible background.

He is home, happy, and has a belly full of RAW!:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:
Thank GOODNESS he is an excellent raw eater, right off the bat :woohoo:
Surely he is not eating homemade yet, but nonetheless he IS eating raw

The rescuer was super kind :rub: to help me with the introduction by phasing him off kibles and feeding him partial raw meals - NV chicken, mixed with EVO.
When he got here, I fed it straight and he ate right up. I am also feeding pieces of meat with it, so he gets transitioned to homemade by the end of his second bag, which is all I budgeted for his transition
So far he has eaten and LOVED Duck hearts and Fresh Turkey :woohoo:
He is not used to biting and chewing, so he gets frustrating, walks around the plate, bats the food out of the plate with his paws so he can get better positioning..... it is actually quite cute :heart3:

He is quite the charter-box - talks a storm.

Finally getting closer to me too, if I am sitting down he will approach and sniff me..... but at the moment I move, there comes the hissing and swatting.

He lets me know how happy he is when I walk in the room by turning around and around on the bed belly up, and will give me the blinky eyes all day long if I stay around - he is quite the charmer :heart3:

I think once he gets to know and trust me and the kitties, he will be the happiest kitty in town :bigthumb:
