Why would you want to add rawhide to their kibble? I can't think of any reason to do that. And I don't think rawhide would be easy to cut either.

As for rawhide as a recreational chew--it's debatable. Rawhide does pose a choking hazard to some extent. But then so would pretty much anything a dog would chew on, except maybe a properly-sized Nylabone. It's up to you whether you think the risk is worth it.

Be careful about rawhides made in China, though. A lot of them have nasty preservatives and stuff used to cure the hides (not on the ingredient list).

I was asking before hand and the kibble part was a thought since sometomes they don't want to eat and i thought it would be a good treat thats why i asked first

Rawhide is always a bad idea. What happens is that rawhide swells to about 4 times the original size in the dogs gut which could create an impaction. Basically you could create such severe constipation that it could become a blockage and kill your dog.
Safer options for chew recreation- bully sticks (dried bull penis): they are highly digestible and don't swell. Also deer/elk antlers are an awesome chew and from what I hear they last a long time.
As a topper on your dogs food: have you ever heard of Tripett? They offer numerous types of canned tripe (tripe is the inner lining of a ruminating animals stomach). They offer beef, venison, and lamb I believe... it stinks to high heaven but I have never seen a dog refuse it. I warn you again- IT STINKS, to the point of a person gagging. You do get used to it though.
More toppers- cooked meats (I say cooked because raw digests at a different rate), Merricks canned, Evo canned, or even a little bit of fish oils... it all depends on what your dogs like.
Also- dogs will only refuse food if you allow them to do so. Dogs are different then cats. They can go a few days without food. When I fostered dogs it was my way or the highway and the dog is forced to eat what I put down. A healthy dog will not starve itself.

Bull penis sounds gross but it really isn't that bad. You can find ones that won't stain..
There is a forum that I can pm you that is all about dog nutrition.
Another dentally beneficial chew are RMBs (raw meaty bones). For a dachshund (do you have a standard or mini) ?? For a mini a chicken neck or wing would be sufficient chewing. For a standard dachshund a chicken quarter or a turkey neck would be sufficient.

Yes my dachshund was supposed to be a mini but he was about 17 pounds when full grown. I miss that dog :( honestly dachshunds (mini and standard) will always be my heart breed. I love them.
I don't know of any forum that is specifically about cat nutrition but there is a great nutrition section on TCS! ;)
