Help ease my conscience?

So I woke up this morning with a strange sound outside. It took me a few minutes to find an injured/sick pigeon on the roof of my apartment building (it's adjacent to mine)

The poor thing is shaking so bad, falling over and struggling to fly. I'm not sure if it's having a seizure, has a broken leg/wing or paralyzed. I feel so bad, I want to help it.. either seeing if I can help or putting it out of its misery, but it's on the roof!

The office is closed, so I can't call to see if I can get a maintence guy out to get it. I am sure it'd be a waste of time with animal control since its a pigeon.

I don't want it to die on the roof, or I'd have to see it every day

Why don't you at least try calling animal control? Could they get on the roof through your window? The worst they can do is say no.

they'd need a ladder to get to the roof.

I called, and they said there's no one available to come out. I am sure that means "no, it's a pigeon", lol

The poor thing. Maybe it'll recover on its own :cross: or a bird of prey will get it and put it out of its misery.

that's my only hope.. a prey will get it.

I gotta run out for a while.. I'll check in on it later. ugh, it's going to be on my mind today!

EDIT: I just looked outside.. and it fell to the ground. Given it's position and not moving, I think it broke it's neck and is now gone. Poor thing. RIP Little Pigeon.
