I wanted to post a picture but I don't see the icon that lets me do this. There is a line that says "The rich text editor is not compatible with yor browser. You may see some HTML source displayed. Any BBCode you enter will be converted to HTML whe you save."

Where is the icon to attach a picture?

Trying to post from my picture files in my computer. Never had a problem before, but now I don't see the icon to attach a pic.

You might have to change your preferences from the Rich Text Editor to the BB Code Editor in order to see it. Try this:
Go to "Preferences" at the top or bottom of a page and click on it.
That will get you a pop-up, where you should set "BB Code Editor" in the box after "Preferred Editor Type", then click "Submit"
The icons should show up at the top of the post/reply box:

I hope that helps!

If I click on Preferences from the bottom of the page it just sends me back to the top. If I click on it from the top nothing happens.

Now that's really odd. What browser are you using? What happens if you log out, wait a couple of minutes, then log back in? Have you tried clearing your browser cache? Have you tried using a different browser to see if it works then?

I think it is Int. Explorer 8 --- although it may be 9 - I'm not really sure. Don't have any other int. explorers that I'm aware of (not really all that computer literate). I've tried logging out and then back but it's the same thing.

It sounds like it's a problem with the browser, i.e., incompatibility with the version you have. Have you updated Internet Explorer recently? The site is set up for Chrome, but also supports Mozilla Firefox. You could download one of them and see if it works. It's perfectly okay to have more than one browser on your computer (I have 5). Chrome is fast and pretty easy.

Looks like I have Int. Explorer 9. If I download one of the others how does it work? Hate to sound stupid! How do i determine which browser I am using?

I use Firefox, but have used Chrome.   They both work just the same as IE.  If you download and install one of them, just click on the icon it puts on your desktop.

IE 9 should actually be working, but maybe its latest update screwed things up. If you download Chrome, all you have to do is open it instead of IE from "Start". You can either close IE first, or have both of them open and click the symbols in your toolbar to switch from one to the other, but that could slow your computer down (very slightly).

You can access the different browsers from your Start Menu by clicking on one of them

or from your desktop by double-clicking the symbol or right-clicking it and choosing "Open"

ok - finally this old brain was able to get onto Chrome.    Looks like I now have the toolbar.   What a hassle!  Sorry to be such a pain.    Can't imagine what happened with Int. Explorer -- but thanks so much for your help.

ok - now I can use Chrome for TCS and post pictures. Still can't download pics from Int. Explorer though. It's really strange! Thanks again for your help. Got a bit confused when Chrome asked for password and I put in what I thought was my password. Suddenly realized they wanted the TCS password, which I fortunately have right here in a notebook next to the computer. Just posted pics of the roses I got from Paul's dr. Think I need a nap now!!!!

You're quite welcome. I'm glad you got it working! You might find you like Chrome a lot better than IE. I've grown to dread Windows updates, because they often screw things up; maybe that's what happened with your IE. It might help if you shut down your computer completely and then boot it up.
