Hi, everybody.
I'm new around here and I have this problem that I don't really know what to think of it. I have 4 cats, all rescued and all in excellent health. But Smokey, a 1 year old Russian Blue mixed (or so they told me) has tears in his eyes every time he eats. Now here's the funny part: He doesn't care much at all about food and sometimes he goes for weeks eating just the bare minimum. Our vet doesn't seem to be concerned, but I am. I have left Smokey without food for about 12 hours and he still doesn't care for the food and ever rejects it after being 12 hours without eating. This doesn't seem to be the behavior of a healthy cat? And sure enough, each time he eats, there are tears. The tears literally fall down on his food, ever since he was a little tiny kitten. I was wondering what kind of exams I should ask the vet? She doesn't seem to be concerned at all about this and this alone is cause of great concern to me. Any inputs are very much appreciated.
