I have a 16 yr old black long haired cat who is vomiting more frequently with hairballs now that she is older.

I tried Natures Miricle, it did not work. I tried organic dishsoap- no luck

I tried Baking soda - no luck

I tried a  mix of Borax and Baking soda and scrubbing on and off for a week, with a paste mix, no luck

The color of the vomit is usually black but sometimes other and does not come out. My landlord is picky

and I paid over 3000 in security- I must get these stains out. I am moving soon. I called a professional carpet

guy and he said those type of stains will not come out.

Help!!

So sorry to hear about your senior kitty vomiting often. What are you feeding your cat? Sometimes when they get older their dietary needs change. She could be having problem with a certain ingredient. Also you could have her shaved in the lion cut if you are having trouble keeping up with her coat during shedding season and not able to brush her often. Do you give her a hairball remedy? Even vaseline 1/4 tsp. twice a week might help but don't give before or after a meal. Between meals.

For stains (not urine removal) I LOVE this Woolite pet stain product. It removed stains off of my parents carpeting from my dog having diarrhea when we were visiting  AND their carpet is white!!!!!!!!! This stuff really works!!!

I would also ask if your cat has been to the vet for a routine blood panel test. It is important, especially for the senior kitties. Good luck!!!! :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:

I find hydrogen peroxide (3%) works well on those kinds of stains, but personally I'm more concerned about the amount and colour (black??) of your cat's vomit. As Feralvr asked, has she been to a vet recently? And what does she eat?

Try eco-88 this stuff is just short of a miracle!
Now, as others said..... A vet check would be advisable....

I always start out with a damp clean white rag of warm water followed by a dry rag and blot, blot, blot.  If it still doesn't come out I use Resolve.  The key to getting out stains is cleaning them ASAP.  Once they have set it makes it more difficult.

Black would worry me unless its clearly hair but if the liquid is black that is not good.  The worse the food the worse the stains. Anything with colors added will leave the colors in the system/stain.  For some stains I got away with a light bleach water solution when I was VERY desperate in a rental situation...but only after nothing else worked.

If it were hair, it wouldn't be staining the carpet. :(

Having had a kitty with this problem, I beg you to take your cat to the vet. "Black" vomit usually means a cat is throwing up blood. You may need an x-ray and/or an ultrasound. My cat had both a cancerous tumor in his stomach and bleeding ulcers. The bleeding ulcers most likely preceded the tumor. The ulcers are pretty easily treatable with proper medication, if that's the problem.

Many vibes I am wrong about this. :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes:
