Congratulations! Sounds like it might be an all ginger litter! How fun
My first foster mom, Norma, was the same way. The first night after she had her babies I went in and checked on her and she was outside of the box. I was really worried but as soon as they squeaked she went back in and would nurse them. She was like this throughout their whole "kittenhood..." she'd go in and take care of them and feed them when they squeaked but a lot time she was out of the box.Is this normal behaviour ? I have checked on Bijou and the kittens a few times and I noticed that she is laying just right outside the box instead of in it. The kittens are all curled up together sleeping, but when one cries she goes back in and lays with them. What if they get cold, will they squeek to alert her or what?
Awww that is one happy and adorably little family, mom is beautiful! Congrats on happy healthy babies!
Oh she will... Cats are usually very good moms and it comes natural to most
