i have posted a few threads about sashas pregnancy on this site so some of you will know me. i am wondering if this is finally it and sasha has started labour. i was cuddled up on sofa with furry rug and sasha starts meowing at me then jumps on my knee purring loudly, then back off then back on and proceeds to do so for a while then when she jumps down starts meowing as if to say come on so i follow her upstairs then she lies down in hall. she has her own room so i go in there thinking this is it but she doesnt follow. so i go into mine(where she sleeps at night with us) and she follows immediatly onto one of her blankets in the corner of the room. she was purring very loudly and kept wanting me to pat her. she seemed restless like she couldnt get comfertable and was breathing really quickly then that stopped for a while then it all continued again but this time she was open mouth panting, so i ran through to her room to get her water and she drank it when i brought it to her and continued purring loudly and fast breathing. she went quiet for a bit just lieing there happily so i ran downstairs to check on my daughter and i must have taken to long as sasha followed me down. i lifted her back up now and now there is nothing. have i done something wrong by leaving her? or does this go on like this for a while? or is there something wrong?

PLEASE LET ME KNOW OPINIONS ASAP

Sounds really similar to my experience the night before Tiva gave birth. She was very restless, followed me everywhere- wanting affection constantly, purring the loudest i've every heard her purr [but only when she was laying in the nesting area]. That was at about 10 at night and she had the first kitten around 6.30 the next morning. I hope this is it for you!!!

once kids were in bed she kept meowing at me. at half 10 i said come on then and she ran ahead of me up the stairs to her nesting spot in our room. i sat down beside her and she began to purr loudly and her breathing instantly got faster. i went and laid my bed and she followed me up, within half an hour of purring she was having contractions.i then sat beside her nesting spot and she followed and continued with contractions. they got stronger and she was lying on her side and kept putting her foot on my hand (she looked like a lady does when she is in stirups in labour) then she went on all fours and was pushing harder with contractions, that hard she rolled over backwards and got stuck on her back in the corner like a tortoise on its back. so i helped her. she kept wanting me to pat her through it all and purred throughout. didnt like if i wasnt giving her my undivided attention. then att 11.50 the first kitten was born and she cleaned it up by herself then the placenta came and she ate that and went back to cleaning num1. as she was cleaning num 2 came and she left it for a bit so i burst the membrane round it so it could breath. as i did this she noticed the kitten and automatically started cleaning it then eating placenta and the others came the same and she did it all herself. last one was born at 2 i think. she just continued cleaning them all they crawled themselves to her nipples.,
