TCS Gathering?

Hi Everyone

I was wondering a couple of things.

# 1- Have we ever had an official TCS gathering?

# 2 - Is it a possibility?

and # 3- Is anyone even interested?

A group of us got together here in Dallas, one time.

I allmost went to a gathering in England in 2006, but something came up at the last minute, so I couldn't go, but at that time I LIVED here at TCS, so I really wanted to meet those friends I "met" every day.

I would love to meet TCS-ers, it's not like many of  you travel to Iceland very often! But I hope to be able to meet someone sometime when go abroad. Or of course it would be a great idea to have a TCS gathering here in Iceland!

Yay! I vote we all meet here and go to Disneyworld. :lol3:

That would be so fun! Unfortunately I can't really travel at the moment. I think a couple people from here live near me, but I can't remember who!

I've done one meetup with a few girls not too far from me.  It was a lot of fun!  I wouldn't be able to do any big trips; too much else going on in my life.  But the more local ones are fun to go to and to read about.  I think we usually just plan them between ourselves.

I'd love to but it would have to be in England for me,unless anyone is willing to buy me plane ticketslaughing02.giflaughing02.gifx

What scares you about them?. I always hold on to them (as you should anyway!) because i've heard of so many people falling down them. Urgh, that sent a shiver through my stomach just thinking of it  cringe.gif

The fear of falling down them and getting trapped at the end of them, im fine on the flat ones like in asda but you wont catch me going up the ones at the metro centre let alone monument LOL!! Im a wuss really, I get all wobbly on them and I panic and stop breathing not that great really

I can understand that.

Well if some other Brits want a meet up we can sort something out. I've got a busy calendar this year but i'll able to squeeze a day in biggrin.gif

I would certainly try to get over. I am planning a visit in late February, just to see friends, but that would probably be too early to arrange a TSC meeting. AS we were in Leeds last time, maybe it should be somewhere different this time?

Well, we Texans could certainly have a good group.  I'd be up for it, but we need plenty of warning.

Meet ups are a lot of fun.
I would LOVE to go to Iceland Pollyanna!

Sounds great --- not too many Floridians here,  but Orlando sounds good.   It's around 3 hrs from where I live.

you're all invited down here to Naples --- it's around 80 degrees today and beautiful!!!

Manchester or Nottingham would be good for me.I love Nottingham there are some fab shops and great places to dine.It just all depends on how far they are away for others.x

Jenny and I often have our own TCS meet up laughing02.gif

I dont think it matters where we go but i need a few weeks to save up haha

Gatherings are great!.  I've had the opportunity to do meet ups in both Canada and the US (Dallas).  It is wonderful to meet TCS people :)

I would be up for a Dallas meetup. Saturday or Sunday lunch is usually best for me.

I planned a meet up in London years ago, it was fun!

I have also met other members for lunch here and there too.

I have met 3 TCS members in the past :)

gayef and I used to live in the same city.

I met Helen (Bella713) and Eileen (eilcon) when I was traveling through on the way to Oklahoma.

I know that Amy (momofmany) isn't too far from me (I'm in NE OK and she's in SE KS) but I don't know who is is nearby.
