Update: Blue is at the vet for his x-rays..I am a nervous wreck!

Blue woke me up this morning by jumping on the bed and purring at me.  It absolutely killed me to put that pill down his throat to sedate him and then put him in the carrier given how stressed the trip to the vet made him yesterday!  :(  But I know it is for his own good.  He is at the vet now (hubby took him on his way to work...my vet is over an hour away!).  I called to remind them to give Blue his meds and to feed him wet food, pate only, once he comes around.  He will not come home until 5pm today.  When I called, they were doing the x-rays.  They said I would get a phone call later this morning to let me know the diagnosis.  I could really use some calming vibes right now.  Meowgie has tried to ease the stress on me this morning by being his cute little self.  He even snuggled with me in the bed this morning.  :D  He is such a sweet little boy.  You would never know he was neutered and microchipped yesterday...he is running around, playing, acting totally like the little loveable fluffball he is.  I know that God brought Meowgie into my life just for times like this....just like God gave my husband our human son before He took dh's heart dog, Butch, at the age of 17.  <3

Thank you.  :)  Blue is my almost 15 year old cat.  He has thyroid issues and cancer that was previously thought to be just on his ear.  He developed a cough recently and another member here urged me to get x-rays for Blue to rule out Congestive Heart Failure.  He is at the vet now and I am STILL waiting on them to call and let me know something about my baby!

I heard from the vet!  Blue does NOT have metastic cancer in his lungs...nor does he have congestive heart failure!!!!!!  I am so overjoyed.  The cough was caused by some minor bronchitis.  The doctor gave him a steroid shot and adjusted his thyroid meds.  I am PRAYING that makes Blue feel better and start to gain his weight back some.  There is absolutely no medica reason, other than old age and a botched thyroid, that Blue should be skinny and sick!  Praise the Lord!

yeah.gif

My 16 year old boy Stumpy gave me quite a scare last year when he started sucking down water like there was no tomorrow. It turns out he had a minor infection and the antibiotics turned him around very quickly.

Sending healing vibes for Blue!!

Thank you all!

I just noticed in the picture that you can actually see the cancer in his ear (right side if you facing the pic....Blue's left side).  :(  At least it has not spread!!!  He has had that one cancer in his ear for about 5 years now.  We had one removed from his neck, but this one can't be removed without taking the ear (which I think would be VERY traumatic for poor Blue).

I just caught this now. I'm so glad your boy doesn't have either he metastic cancer or congestive heart failure! clap.gif
