Do you plan to take advantage of the Black Friday sales?
What do you want to get? :)

Penny's started their Black Friday sales this morning. With a $10 gift card, a 15% off coupon and free shipping I got a really good deal on my new....

I wish I could handle it the black Friday shopping mobs. But I just can't :lol3: Too crazy for me!! So I avoid most of the big stores if I can. I also have the $10.00 Penney's coupon so I might try to run in there and check out the sales. :D :wavey:

I didn't go to the store....
couldn't handle that either.
I ordered online, by phone...
it is much easier.

Absolutely! But we're not going out at midnight tonight. I'll work on my lists tonight. We'll get up tomorrow morning around 3:00 or so. I'll grab my shower while Rick gives the kids their breakfast and we'll be out the door by 4:00. We have to be back by 10:00 tomorrow so I can get my stuffing in the crock pot for my sister's dinner at 2:00. After I get the stuffing in the crock pot, we'll probably go back out for awhile.

I have the $10 Penny certificate, too, and will be looking for a new winter coat for walking.

Oh, and on Monday, my co-worker and I will be in front of his computer, checking out Cyber Monday sales.

Ugh, don't remind me. Tomorrow is my own purrsonal nightmare. We open @ 4am, I at least don't have to work until 6am......but it will be, as always, one heck of a day!

I never went out on Black Fri until I started working retail. People can be very rude that early in the morning.

I traditionally stay away from the corporate chain stores on black Friday, I choose instead to keep my money local by shopping at local stores.

Not to say that I boycott those stores, I just feel that they get the bulk of the money the rest of the year, and those little mom & pop places could really use the sales.

I havent done any black friday sales since 2008. We spent about $5000 in the first 3 hours :lol3: It was all stuff for our house that was being built at the time though. I have to work tomorrow anyway

I just bought a house, so I'm thinking I'll be shopping online for 'new home basics' when I can Fri afternoon when I get off work, through the weekend, & on Cyber Monday. It's amazing the things you don't realize you need! :lol3:

There's no Black Friday here, but there's Cyber Monday! I really need to start my Christmas shopping - usually I'm done by now.

No, not really... I'm the type of person who never waits for sales, of I need something I get it right away at whatever price I can find it. So I just don't have anything to buy at the moment...and I don't have a big Xmas shopping list, I have exactly 4 people to buy a gift for, so whatever I save will not be so much that is worth standing in big lines for...

There is no way I'd even consider Black Friday shopping! I'd rather pull all of my hair out and run for dear life!:dash: I can't stand crowds, rushed shopping, or rude people, so I'd rather enjoy the next few days at home, decorating. I'll wait for the Cyber Monday deals and other sales closer to Christmas rather than deal with the chaos of Black Friday crowds.

I went last year only because there were a few things that were a really good price for my DD.  I was by myself and so tired it wasn't fun.  This year I didn't see any ads for anything special on her list so I stayed home. However it's 4 am and I'm awake so maybe I should be doing a little retail therapy.

I am doing my shopping online.  So many retailers are offering free shipping anymore.  I just can't stand the crowds.

Amazon is having some great sales.  If you sign up for Amazon Prime for the free 30 day trial, you get free two day shipping.  Just cancel it before the 30 days or you get charged.

I bought season 2, 3 and 4 of Dexter for $12.99 each.  Tons of Blu-Ray movies on sale if you have a movie buff on your list.

I've never been much of a shopper, anyway, but in my last two jobs, I've had to work over the holidays.  I'm leaving shortly for Baton Rouge.  I'm just hoping we don't run into trouble with Occupy Wall Street crowd, which is trying to block access to our stores.

We got most of the big stuff online so we didn't have to deal with the worst of the crowds. But we still were out around 5:15. We hit 3on stores by 7:30 and got everything we wanted plus scored a couple other good deals.

Petsmart has some great deals today. 35-38 lb. Tidy Cats litter buckets are $8.99 and a bunch of stuff is 50% off, like all cat trees, Drinkwell Fountains & new Litter Locker II. I got (3) 38-lb buckets of litter, 24 cans of Frisky's wet food ($0.35 ea.), Litter Locker II and extra refill, plus $2scored donation (always) for $45.08. Can't beat that with a stick!

I shop online :)  I also support smaller online business, knowing that they too are "small business" unless an extension of one of the big brick and mortar warehouse stores.

We shopped for awhile and were back home by 9:30. Bought some Legos and an Air Hog helicopter for our grandson and an American Girl doll and outfits for our granddaughter, in addition to some other things for them; our granddaughter is really into Barbie right now (I'm not fond of Barbie at all, but she loves her). We're not completely finished with them, but we're close. Bought a cute kitty house for the RugCats for Christmas....it's enclosed with a comfy pillow. I know somebody will love that and, no doubt, we'll see several cats trying to squeeze in there at one time. (If they like it, we may grab another one) Also got a new red towel for the back of the living room chair; Tabby and Molli have the old towel pretty well shredded. I picked up a few things for Rick.

We're heading back out tomorrow morning to try to finish up the grandkids and should be back home by early afternoon.

We were amazed. Since Target had opened last night, there was virtually nobody there this morning and they were already restocking the shelves. KMart was a nightmare; they opened at 5:00 and we wanted to get there right away to take advantage of the Lego sales, but oy! that was nasty. Dicks was packed with a check-out line that snaked back through the store. We left and went back later when it had thinned out. I bought a new Columbia coat to wear when I walk in the winter and Rick wanted some insulated socks. We also hit our local mall and enjoyed a slice of pizza for breakfast at 6:30
; yep, the pizza place opened early, too, to take advantage of hungry shoppers. Really, it wasn't that bad.

People camped out at Best Buy last night; I think it opened at midnight. They had 42-inch Sharp tvs on sale for $200, so there were tons of people waiting for a chance. Needless to say, we didn't get there until around 9:00 or so this morning, so we missed out. The store only had ten tvs at that price. Not that we needed one anyway and we knew they were gone within minutes of the store opening last night. But we had fun looking around.
