Is there a way to create an album using our "cat pages" to display in a siggy?

EDIT: Step-by-step instructions on how to include links to your Cat Pages in your signatures are in post #13

You can link your Cat Pages but not get them to actually display in your signature.

yeah.gif You can either put a separate link to each cat page, or do a search for your user name under Cat Pages and put a link to the result (a page with all your Cat Pages listed) in your siggy, like this:

You can't use links to the cat pages as album titles, because clicking on them will just take you to the album, not the cat page. What you could do is make each of the cat names here a link to a cat page:
77

For example, Perla

The smilies might not fit, though. You'd have to try it.

What you do is go to the cat page in question and copy the address from your browser ( http://www.thecatsite.com/a/perlas-page-by-feralvr). Then type the cat's name, highlight it, click the link icon 50 and paste the cat page address in the box 150, then click "OK".

I like your idea Tricia but I can't get it to work in the siggy area.
It is working here....
Dexter
Can you tell what I am doing wrong?

Thanks

As far as I can see, you weren't doing anything wrong, Lei. The problem was that your siggy was too high with the da Vinci quote and the cat page links. I've tried putting links to all four cat pages in your siggy, after redoing the quote. The spacing is difficult, and I don't know where the ellipse after Bartholomew's Page is coming from. dontknow.gif

Putting the cat pages in an album simply doesn't work.

Thanks for checking it out Tricia...
Now that school has started, I know that your time is limited and of course there is dear Jamie heartpump.gif...
but you always seem to find the time to help us. hugs.gif

You're welcome! I hope the way I did it meets your approval. I tried to put two on the left and two on the right, but it looked really funny with the way the album thumbnails are placed.

You'll need two browser windows open to TCS for this, one to edit your signature and one for your Cat Page(s).

Step-by-step instructions:

1) Click on "My Profile" in the red bar at the top of the page:

95

2) Scroll down to "Your Forum Signature" and click "Edit Signature Text":

273

3) In another browser window, click on "Cat Pages" in the red bar at the top:

136

4) Enter the user name in the "Search Cat Pages" box and click "Search":

384

5) Choose the Cat Page you want to include in your signature:

497

6) Copy the URL from your (Firefox/IE/Chrome/Opera) browser bar. It will read www. then thecatsite.com followed by /a/, then by the name of the Cat Page, e.g. Miezi's Page

7) Go back to your other browser window and type your cat's name or "So-and-so's Page" where you want it in the signature. Highlight it, then click the link icon 50

Note: You use your mouse to highlight a word: left-click and drag across the word to highlight it, click again. That should put the word in a blue box.
259

8) Paste the Cat Page URL in the "Enter the destination URL" box and click "OK".

382

9) Click "Submit" to save your new signature with its link to your Cat Page.
