The US has another week to go. We don't change until 11/6.

Apparently I'm behind the times! LOL

In Canada we don't change the clocks until the 1st Sunday in November either! Good thing I posted this thread, otherwise I'd be an hour behind the rest of the world!!!

I got confused for a moment, but it is next week. It used to be end of October. Now first week of November.

Europe switched back early this morning, so the reminder is good for people living on the eastern side of the Pond.
Poor Jamie couldn't understand why his automatic feeder didn't open at 5 a.m.. He can't go to sleep till he's seen me fill and set it.

Same here, and it is just wonderful.

Of course. there is a small group of deviants..er misguided souls who want to go back to changing time twice a year, but a gov't poll shot them down. The fools wanted to go back to the old time zone lines where, in some areas, you have to leave an hour early to get to someplace east of your house on time, even a five minute drive. There was a decision made in the early 60s NOT to change time because of the division of the province, and it has been working well and it does not need fixing.

Argh gave me a fright! I had an 8am appointment to give insulin this morning, that would have been a bad moment to forget daylight savings time.

The only way I remember the new change is because when the US was talking about changing, the candy companies were lobbying to have it happen after Halloween. More light in the evening meant more trick-or-treating and thus more candy sales.

Holy smokes, I almost jumped into the car and raced to the airport... thought I was an hour behind!

i talked to my mom in Germany and she reminded me that we're a week late

I got worried for a minute! I wondered if I lost a week somehow when I saw the thread!

So glad you said that right after I read the thread title! I almost had a small heart attack! (I was certain I had another hour before I had to be anywhere , thankfully I was correct!)

I hate "Falling behind". Every single year, I forget, and we wind up at church at 8:30 in the morning. (an hour late) the kids usually just roll their eyes and then cheer and ask for bagels.

Of course in the spring, when we show up at church at 6:30 am, an hour early, they aren't so forgiving. I have some kind of mental block I guess. I'm meant to live in Arizona I suppose.

Ok, now I can safely say it!

Don't forget to change your clocks back THIS weekend on Saturday night!!!

Last week I was so confused! All week until Wednesday at 7pm I thought it was next week (this week). It started last week Monday when I looked at the calendar and saw 2 days in the Sunday and Monday box, and automatically registered "31" instead of "24"

We all believed you! Shows how much credibility you have here, lol!

Now it's a great reminder, so bump.gif

flail.gif That's usually how it works.

We went out with friends last night, so before we left the house, we turned most of the clocks back. Then when we came back home, we finished. I have to do my car now and that's it.

The US changed today....
I hate going back to regular time. mad.gif

Dexter and Isis are early birds.
For 11 years, Dexter never adjusted to the change back to regular time.
Now Isis has joined their kitty conspiracy.
They want their food and morning love....early!

During daylight savings time, if I am not up by 4AM , I get the "meow. meow, meow" treatment until I give up and get up. There is no escaping them. I must cooperate! worship.gif
I am doomed to live without a good nights sleep until we return to Daylight (Dexter) time. thud.gif

I always used to love gaining that hour, but now it's just another reminder that it gets dark out early and the days are short. frown.gif BUT... it's about mid-point between the end of the third quarter and the shortest day of the year, so I try to look at it that it means we're just getting closer to the days getting longer. flail.gif Twisted, I know. rolleyes.gif

And Lei, on my schedule I SHOULD be feeding the kitties at 7:30am, so now it just means that at 8:30am I'll actually be feeding them when I should have been. flail.gif

I hate it. I just call it daylight loseing time. It had a useful purpose back when we were all farmers who got up at the crack of dawn. Now, I think is is anti-serving as we all have to use our house hold lights all the more. Personaly I dont mind going to work in the dark, but I do hate coming home in the dark.

I wish someone told me this yesterday, I woke up an hour early! I did get a lot done though.
