Turtle was in the window when we pulled up to the house. She was pushing her head against the screen I thought she was going to pop it out AGAIN!! I got out of the car, looked up and started talking to her, but she disappeared.
So I step inside the apartment and gently call her name. No Turtle. I did it again. No Turtle.
OMG!! She doesn't remember me??
Then I see a sweet face peeking around the corner at me. Ah, there she was--WITH HER TOY IN HER MOUTH!!!! And she came right to me, drop the toy at me feet and looked up at me.
I think I created a monster when I taught her how to fetch.
So that's what we've been doing now for an hour. No hot bath, no snuggles, no nap, no breakfast. Just fetch, fetch, fetch....

Your post brought tears to my eyes. Bless that little girl's heart. She is a sweetie. And she's missed playing fetch with you. That's her way of telling you that she's missed you!

What a special, special girl. I think cats aren't given enough credit for what they know, and how they relate to those they love.

omg, omg, omg..... I could picture that whole scene!! How fantastic that you're back home, and you had such a wonderful, sweet greeting from your little girl!!

Welcome home!!

That is so so true!!! They've got such a cold reputation from people who don't know them. Aloof, sneaky, anti-social. And a smart cat (Turtle) is compared to a dog!!!!!!!!!! It's so insulting. it makes me wanna HISSSSSSSSS

Cheryl, it's so good to hear you're home and recovering. Turtle was just waiting for the moment you'd walk through the door again and she could show you how much she missed you, and your games together.

There is the medicine that you get at the drugstore, and then there is the medicine that comes in a fur container....that is probably going to woek the best!

God bless you and your sweet girl.

Welcome back, Cheryl!

But be warned (like you didn't already know), it is highly addictive! I'm completely hooked and all my money goes to that and I'm also a dealer...
