Not My Fault!

I swear on my stash of candy that I didnt do it. It was not my fault I didnt do anything but say ok.

Well its official.

Im now up to 5 cats. Im the crazy cat lady. Df is the cat lunatic.

We babysat bils cat for a week and we got to talking about certain things like her being unfairly blamed for shenanigans when her brother instigated it and how they were saying about putting her outside because of her paper shredding antics. Well since DF fell in love with her and she became his new morning bff he decided that she is staying. I dont mind shes a sweetheart and just needed extra attention that she originally wasnt getting. Shes already spayed and utd on her shots and everything and is a great happy healthy cat with an affection for shredding any and all paper she can get. Which is nothing new since we already have two toilet paper shredders and reciept stealers. Solution...buy a Sunday news paper every week for them to shred a section at a time and keep anything that is remotely important put away where they cant get it. A concept the previous owners couldnt grasp.

But I had to share the news that we now are up to 5 and my formerly anti cat df is now a crazy cat man. I knew Id convert him eventually.

Im going to try and snag some pics of the elusive new kitty and once I get some Ill post in the fur pics section.

Tyler how dare you post something like that without pictures

Congrats on the new addition or should I congratulate the other half

Sounds like she will fit in no problem, whats her name or did I miss that bit

Her name is Abby. Or Abberdabberdoo as I call her.

I think the hint that we got was that when her original owners called she wouldnt come running but when we called her she would come to us. Shes been doing great, just minor issues with the hooligans trying to rough house with her and her not wanting to play but she gets along great with the older kitties. Her and Herc will sleep on the cat lounge and her and Gigi will lay on the washer or dryer together.

Im still shocked that the anti cat person is the one who brought the 5th cat in. LOL I had just said to him too last week...I will not be bringing in the 5th cat it will be on him. LOL

I do think that part of this does have something to do with the fact that in 4 days it will be one year since Fatman passed away and we still miss him like crazy. It has helped though that Croc is literally Fatman II in almost every way possible down to the goatee on his chin.

Im gonna try and get pictures of her but seriously shes sneaky. LOL She has sneaky sleeping spots that scare the bejeepers outta me because when I do a kitty count shes always missing. Her current spot is under a dresser. I promise I will try and get some pictures though. She reminds me a lot of Trout though. LOL She looks just like Trout.

Thanks. Shes a peach just the right amount of hooligan to fit in here. We always seem to get the mentally dysfunctional cats lol like the ones that like to unroll brand new rolls of toilet paper and drag the shredded pieces into the bedroom. Or who insist that legs are lounge spaces even though it freak meowmy out to feel trapped down. Or drooling hairy monster cats who cant jump to save their lives.

My hooligans...I love each and every one of them.

Kailie at the rate Im going I figure by next year Im gonna be catching up to you and Pam. LOL Well if I include the outside cats into my actual ownership then I beat you. LOL 5 inside and 8 outside.

I just looked into my kitchen and Miss Dabberdoo found the kitty window. My 'extra counter' we built last year has become the cat window where everyone relaxes while Im cooking....She is sleeping on my dish towel. Awwww...totally makes me mushy to see that considering that space is kinda like the permanent kitty space.

awww she is gorgeous Tyler!!

She's really beautiful! Congrats on the new family member! Every non cat person has a threshold, and can be converted. My DH is a sworn cat hater from childhood, I catch him playing with Kairi and even better, letting him on the bed with him. Once they fall, they fall hard!!!

More pics of the pretty girl and the rest of the posse!!!

Congratulations on that adorable little one, Tyler! And tell your BF that I said he did good!

I always say now that a true crazy cat lady has one more cat than I will ever have. Right now, we have seven cats...so a crazy cat lady has at least 8 cats. (Sorry, Kailie!! You do know I'm only kidding, right?)

My sentiments exactly I am up to six cats now!!!! Thought five was my limit

Tyler, congratulations on your Abby!!! She is absolutely a little princess and so beautiful. I love hearing that someone anti-cat has become pro-cat

And Tyler, you have one more cat than we do if you count the outside cats! So you ARE a crazy cat lady! Our mix is a little different... we have 8 inside and four (regulars) outside.

(Going into summer, there were 11 outside... come winter, we'll see how many are actually around. ) But if we had to move, four of the outside kitties would have to go too.

Abby is a beautiful cat

My dh decided I was the crazy cat lady at cat #3...we won't talk about the last four I brought in after that...making my current total 6 plus a bottle baby that will go to my mom if I can part with him.

My dh swears he dislikes cats too...and that is why I am constantly walking in to find him sound asleep with a cat in his arms or around his neck or at his feet. He is a closet cat LOVER!

OMFG!!!!! You guys would never ever ever believe what df said last night. I was carrying Tubbs around like a baby and laughing because she is soooo content to just be lovied like a baby. At almost 7 mths old her and her brother are still babies. Well df was watching me and said that if cats would never get bigger than what Tubbs and Croc are right now he would let me fill the house to the ceiling with cats because he likes when they are little not when they grow up. I never thought Id ever hear him say something like that...

I need a scientist to find some kinda growth stunting formula so I can have a million kitties. LOL

I have an aunt like that. She thinks puppies and kittens are cute. She will talk with them or pat them. Once they grow up and become dogs and cats she wants nothing to do with them

Thankfully df isnt that bad but I think his issue is that he LOVES the kitten antics and their pudgy belly phase. Since Gigi and Herc have become 'grown ups' they dont goof around and act like fruit pies anymore where Tubbs and Croc still chase their tails and randomly attack doors for no reason and stuff like that. He likes the obnoxious stuff they do where I like them when they are full grown and content to sleep and be loved up with snuggles. I like the kitten stage too but I prefer my curtains to stay in one piece more than I like the kitten stage LOL.

I agree with you. Kairi is my first Kitten, I've always adopted full grown cats, and I have to say, while kittens are totally adorable, I prefer the more mellow and relaxed adult cat. My house is trashed on a daily basis by 7 pounds of 4 month old kitten. My dogs are totally traumatized by the ninja kitty attacks while they are sleeping, and my bathroom looks like a gravel truck had an accident-he's a litter player!!! I can't wait for the mellowing....

My poor Franklin actually hides his tail because when he wags his tail which is pretty constant Tubbs and Croc will attack his tail and he has taken a claw to the bum many a times. I adore my little monsters but they do destroy the house. Now with Abby I need to keep destroyable papers around so they can shred them. I dont mind the cleaning up of shredded papers as long they dont get into papers that cannot be shredded. I catch them running around with pieces of papers all the time. A couple of times we have come home to find a brand new roll of toilet paper shredded and someone would grab an end and run like a banshee into the bedroom. I did find out that the culprit of the toilet paper monster is Croc who figured out how to unroll it but his sister is the shredding accomplice. I firmly believe that there is no unfair blaming allowed in the house so noone ever gets in trouble unless I see for sure who does what.

Kinda why we have the new kitty. Her brother was the instigator but she was being unfairly blamed.
