I posted in ferals/strays, but will retell the story here for anyone who may not have read that thread.

On Sat, I was at my church's fall fest when a friend of mine (who is a pastor's wife at another church) came up to me with a towel in her hand. Inside was this TINY little kitten. The story is that the momma was killed - possibly by a fox. The kitten was found screaming its head off beside the her church's steps. She didn't know who else to call, so she drove to find me.

Of course, I took it home - completely clueless as to how to care for it. Well...we are figuring it out together!
My mom has already asked if she can have the cat when I get it weaned and such, so it has a home. However, I am pretty sure it is a BOY and I have named it (for now) Mr. Meowgie.
Big name, little cat.

Here are some pics that were honestly just too cute not to share.

Mr. Meowgie having his bottle:

Just an idea of how tiny he really is...

You're not holding him on his back, are you? I have never had to nurse a little one like that, but I think I heard that was one thing to avoid.

He sure is tiny!

Cute little dumpling. I hope the little one makes it and has a good forever home with your mother.

I read that too. He is actually sitting straight up with the back of his head against my chest. I tried and tried to get him to eat while on his belly and the bottle just doesn't work that way. I feel like I am breaking his neck! He seems to be doing okay this way though.

It helps tons! Thank you for the tip! I also put fleece in his carrier and he loves to snuggle into it and make biscuits. I think it feels like momma to him.

I'm glad it helps! How's he doing? I'm hoping he's still thriving....and you aren't falling over exhausted.
