How Can I Be Annoyed......

.....when Larry is so darned cute and smart?!

I have no idea what time it was - I think it was morning, but it was still dark - I feel a jump on the bed, and hear the "prrrrttt?" chirp. I wake up, and there's Larry, staring at me, with his little springy toy (the spring covered in rubbery plastic). I knew what he wanted. "prrrtt?" means "play? Throw it? I'll fetch? Huh? Huh? Huh?" So, I threw it, he leaps off, slides around the floor, chasing his toy, brings it back, drops it - definitely wants more.

I threw it 3 more times - he brought it back 2 more times, but after the last one just ran around, playing with it on the floor.

Thank God I don't have mice. I can just imagine what he'd bring me in the middle of the night!

Cute! That reminds me of Dusty. She will jump up on my bed in the middle of the night and just stare at me. If I don't respond by petting her, she will stretch out her paw and tap me on the mouth. Problem is, that she has her claws out! I will pet her for a few minutes, then she will jump down or go to DH for loving too!

I'm sure whatever "annoyed" you felt at first just melted away seeing him so happy!

Yeah, I wasn't annoyed at all. I can fall right back to sleep again, and he hasn't done the "fetch" thing for awhile. So, I opened my eyes and saw his face and the little spring and I just laughed, and said, "Awwww...... you wanna play?"

Awww! I'm not so nice when I get woken in the middle of the night.

Of course the middle of the night is when Noodles is actually affectionate and wants attention. All day it's her smacking you when you walk by the cat tree (well most of the day anyway) but get up and use the bathroom in the middle of the night....and she'll come sit in your underpants and purr while attacking the string on your jammies.
