I love to chase Heidi and jump on her! I'm much faster than her! When she tries to get me I hide under the bedroom dresser!

They're just gorgeous!

Does being deaf hinder Snowflake at all? (Pardon me for asking, but our Tabby is deaf in one ear, although it doesn't seem to bother her. She has trouble finding the sources of noises sometimes, but that's about it.)

Snowflake doesn't seem to hear NO like our other cats! But we don't believe it's part of her loss of hearing! She is just super mischievious! She may be deaf in one ear! She occasionally hears certain sounds! It seems her visual sense is hightened! For example she'll react to her can of treats as soon as I pick it up! The other cats don't react till they hear the noise of the shaken can! Our greatest concern is that "danger Noises" can't be heard! The night that we adopted her she found a small hole under our master bath cabinet and crawled under the Jacuzzi tub! She couldn't hear us calling her! The breeder suggested putting a lid of soft tuna cat food in the cabinet (after we removed the repair access grid) and in about one minute she came out after smelling the food! It's amazing at times what decibles she can hear! Usually lower pitch, scratching sounds seldom loud noises or hand clapping, (Like the other cats)

Sophie who we lost earlier this year, went deaf and blind (detached retina) from High Blood pressure before she passed away! The blindness which came and went was more difficult for her to handle! It was sad to watch her walk in circles and bump into walls! However, after a few days she learned hoe to navigate to find her food and water and her litter box! We still miss her so much but her loss enabled us to adopt Sunshine, Heidi and Snowflake!

Your kitties are beautiful too! Our first kitty was Lucifer who we adopted in Louisville and we took to the Virgin Islands where I worked at a refinery! He moved to Nj with us and lived to 14 yrs! Your Hokus looks like our Onyx who we adopted from a rescue group with his sister Mandy. (They were Himalayan mixes) We were told they were both females but Onyx seemed to "act like a Boy" and sure enough he was! Good thing we had them spayed and neutered early enough! One of your cats reminds of us "Pushka" who we adopted from a NJ shelter! She had been badly abused and it took her 4 years to socialize and trust people! Thanks for taking care of your kitties!

It's been quite a while since we've been on the site due to elder care issues! The "family of cats" have really bonded! Sunshine follows her mommy Heidi and has really settle down! Baby Snowflake, Heidi's granddaubher is about 14 moths old!  She's not totally deaf and really enjoys watching her little friends, the lizards! It's a good thing the girls are indoor cats! Sadly "Mittens" my sisters 18 yr old Main Coon had kidney failure and she crossed the Rainbow bridge last week!  She had five great years after we rescued her just before she was to be euthanized!

Tomorrow Snowflake and Sunshine go to the Vet for their vaccinations and annual check-up!

Sophielew, your links are not working. Some of them go to a page that shows your most recent uploads, but not individual pictures. Others go to an error message.

Well it's been a while but this is a quick update! After Sophie passed we adopted Sunshine, the her mother Heidi, and on the same day Snowflake, aa 8 week old kitten that was Heidi's granddaughter! (A deaf, odd eyed baby) at that time we saw Allie, one of Heidi's last babies! Well two years later we were able to adopt Allie! So now, as our grandson likes to call them, our Family of Cats, is complete! They get along well and are the joy of our lives!
