Tolly has had a return of his liver disease. He seemed just a little off last Saturday and Sunday. I called the vet first thing Monday, but my vet is on vacation. I brought him in just for blood work anyway. My vet came in on her vacation to read Tolly's blood work and call me with the bad news results. She left a message, so I didn't get to ask any questions.
Anyway, since she is on vacation my questions will remain unanswered until next Tuesday. In the mean time she prescribed ursodiol for him to take for the next 10 days.
I looked up the information about side affects and all of course, but is wondering if anyone has ever had a kitty take this medicine.
**For anyone who may not know, Tolly has liver damage from a life time on phenobarbital. The damage showed up in January 2010. Reducing his phenobarbital slightly, and putting him on denosyl daily brought him into remission since last October, and now this. I realize it's to be expected, since he will always be on the phenobarbital. I hope we can get him back into remission for a long long time to come.
