My cat(s) makes me laugh when...

What is something that your cats do that just make you laugh out loud. Not just smile, but truly laugh?

I have a good laugh when Monet jumps on the table and he does not expect anything up there, but when he jumps and he finds an object, he'd trill, jump backwards and fall off the table, startled!

I also laugh when Picasso does a somersault when she pounces a toy!

When Holland forgets to put her tongue away (as I call it) after grooming and it's sticking out a little bit. It's especially laugh out loud funny when she gives me a very serious look while that little bit of pink is hanging out... Then she looks extremely offended because I laugh.

Also when she misjudges her footing and nearly falls off of a piece of furniture, recovers, and sets about as if it was what she meant to do all along. I often tell her she's very clumsy for a cat.

Yes, those!!!!!

And Billy frequently freaks himself out - I don't know from WHAT, but he'll often take a quick jump back, all puffed up.

And Chumley every once in a while finds his inner kitten and lays on the kitchen floor playing with his tail. It is ESPECIALLY funny because he looks like a wise old man with his big fat head, and he's built so chunky... it's just hysterical watching him act like a little kitten!

Flowerbelle does about a million things that make us laugh. Her expressions when she wants something are... priceless!

When Luna wants Midnight's attention, she'll walk up to him (usually while he's sleeping) and she'll punch his head over and over with her paws then take off Midnight wakes up and looks all around like he doesn't know what hit him.

Every single time Midnight comes out of the litter box, Luna ambushes him. He jumps 6ft straight in the air, and does the sideways hop away from her. You'd think he'd expect it by now

I crack up when Croc goes into his crazy scaling the bookshelf mode and does his skateboarder moves. Tubbs tries to do it too but she ends up looking like a goof because shes not as skilled or graceful as Croc. I also crack up when Herc tries to jump, it takes him like 10 minutes to figure out if he can make it or not with about a million attempts till he finally takes the jump......and misses. Poor Hercules hes like the anti cat.

I love it when Scooter runs to the door and yells "go OOOOUUUTTTT." It is so cute.

Last night we were laughing out loud in bed because Trout was sitting on me, but my body was under the blankets. Josh kept saying she must think at night time we just become floating heads and she doesn't even realize she is sitting on us. That made me LOL

When Rosie or Sophie chase their tail, especially Sophie because hers turns into a break dance the way she spins on her back on the hardwood floor

Jack's is when he has his late night crazies because he growls when he runs

lol, these are great! Keep them coming!

There's another one l shouldn't laugh at really but l can't help it

Sometimes if Jack gets into Sophie's space she stands on her back legs and whacks him one and walks off! Poor baby, he's left standing with a "What did l do" expression on his face

I always laugh when I get up in the middle of the night and come back and Tino is always in my spot. I know this is pretty normal. but he always has this look on his face, "yes this spot is my spot now", it just always makes me laugh.

Kiko, loves attention and would take it every second of the day. He follows me around so much throughout the day, talking about needing some "more" attention. It makes me laugh when he is 2 rooms away screaming so loud, all I do is go where he is and pick him up and he starts purring and headbumping me but the moment I hear him screaming, I laugh because I know exactly what he wants. He also plops down on the floor, right in path, so I will reach down and hold him.
He also makes me laugh, waking me up in the middle of the night kissing my face lol his cup of love is NEVER full lol

Laura, when she wants some love, she starts screaming at me and demanding it LOL she accepts nothing but for me to stop immediately and give her some love, its the way she does it, though. Not her normal meow, but a a wide mouth meow in a demanding way LOL

Easy she loves to come plop her body completely over your whole face while you are sleeping LOL or her way that she will interrupt whatever you are doing to get it. If you move her out of your way, she comes right back as if to say, "No I want it right now, right here" LOL

And Ducky is always silly, always... but what is hilarious to me is when the other boys are sleeping and he will go and bite their "private" and then take off running LOL
And he loves to sit like a human on the sofa, its hysterical LOL

All of them crack me up laughing about me not being able to use a pen to write anything. Nothing. If the pen is in my hand and they are able to reach it, they are constantly grabbing it. I always have to lock myself in another room (which they are right at the door demanding I open the door at once LOL) or I have to stand up to walk while Im writing LOL

Pepper lost a fang when she bit Scooter on the butt during a wild game of chase the kitty. This gives her kind of crooked little grin, and her tongue sticks out most of time. It is too cute.

For me its when Jade 'talks' to us.
She's barely even got a voice, just a tiny, almost mouse like squeaking sound, it gets slightly louder when she yells at us.

Baby Cat is a huge talker, if you cloesd your eyes you'd almost believe she was siamese.
Baby Cat makes us laugh with ner no shame positions lying down.
She also gets a giggle when she cuddles, if my hands are on her, but not petting her, she will grab the hair elastic that's always on my wrist and she'll snap it.

Spaz makes us laugh when she screams into her wet food, she's done this ever since she was a baby. It's even funnier when she does it around someone that has never witnessed it before and is unsuspecting.

The first thing I thought of is Genever having her tongue sticking out, like Holland. It really makes me LOL! Another thing that makes us laugh, kind of hard to explain and it might not seem funny typed out, but there's this cardboard box in the coat closet in the living room, behind the sofa and recliner. It had random stuff in it when we packed to move, and for some reason we just left it in there. There's a scarf and a bike water bottle in it. Well, Genever has made a habit of 'nesting' in there, as we call it, most evenings, at least for a while. We'll hear some rustling noises and it still always catches us off-guard for a second or 2 until we look back and see G getting comfy in the box in the closet. For some reason it makes us laugh.

Dot makes us laugh a lot, too. When she enters the room with a LOUD MEOW! Usually just one, as if to say "Hey, I'm here!" She's so serious and ravenous and determined when eating treats, including her thyroid pill smashed in a treat- she sounds like she's literally inhaling them, and she pretty much always bites our fingers, I feel like when I was a kid feeding goats at a farm, you always had to watch your fingers. 7AM comes around, she bites my fingers getting her pill, and I laugh.

I always lose it when cats get scared and jump STRAIGHT up in the air.

I love when I have Parker at my parents and he goes downstairs and yells "HELLO!...HELLOOO!" to me so I will go down with him.
I crack up when I am sitting at the computer and Buddy goes leaping past the door, chasing a fly. I laugh too, when he is hungry and comes in and looks at me and goes "MEEEEE!"

Perla. When she walk around like she can't see and stares at things on the floor like she has no idea what it is. She gets the "heebie jeebies" and walks around in very slow motion. If something startles her during her investigations, she jumps straight up in the air almost four feet or so. Just cracks me up.

Oh, I'm sorry, but Ming Loy cracks us up too. Because of her CH, when she gets excited about something, it's not just that here eyes go black, but she starts shaking, usually so much that she looks like she's going to shake apart. It is SO cute and makes us crack up.

My Forest is a CH kitty, too. He's very strong, but not very coordinated . From time to time he'll wind himself up and take a great L E A P across the floor after something. He goes all-in and sprawls all out in every direction. It's so funny it cracks me up every time.

Well Boots is still just a baby so most things he dose crack us up

But the cutest thing he dose that makes me laugh is when he has one of his toys normally a ball and he carts it around like hey mum look what I caught ain't I a smarty pant's he looks so proud of him self

And Sir Bazz cracks us up I have a water bowl on the table they like to drink from and Bazz has always used his paw to drink out of it but the funny part is any one to close gets a shower everytime he dips his paw you have to see it talk about crazy cats

And the thing they do together that cracks us up is they play chasie first Bazz chases Boots then they rush back through with Boots hot on Bazzes tail it's funny there mad

Oh, we just watched another one that completely cracks us up. The CRAZED "victory lap" after launching out of the litter box after going poop.

I love it when Daisy chases her tail or when Speck just bowls her over when they're playing. It's so funny.

My cougar: When he greets me with his bird like chirp and has to put his huge paws around me a groom my head.
My bobcats: Well, they do a lot that make me laugh. But what gets me going to the most? You see, bobcats love butts Their butts especially and they think you MUST love their butt too. So there are many times, when I am on the floor playing with them or just giving them lovins, when I look and I have bobcats butts in my face and they wave their short tails around as if fanning their scent in your face like here, smell mine, it smells best And if you are not careful, you may end up with ummm, bobcat spray in your face
The domestics: I must agree 100% with LDG. They go poop and the next thing I know, they are running around like crazy

When they chase the dog.
It does not happen often. When the dog feels like playing he nudges them from behind. The kitties don't seem to like it. The cats always win and the silly dog seems to enjoy losing.

Bowser cracks me up all the time, so it's hard to think of specific instances! I especially love it when I come home and he SCREAMS at me until I pay attention to him. If I don't drop everything asap and acknowledge his existence, he throws a hissy fit and stalks me!

When Buffy looks straight at you, then tilts her head and shakes it quickly (like she's having a seizure), while at the same time kind of rearing up on her backlegs, then she explodes and takes off running like a banshee.

Also, sometimes when you're just sitting watching TV, everything's quiet and peaceful, when suddenly a cat randomly races through the room and, just as suddenly, is gone. The randomness makes me laugh.

I don't think anyone can beat this! Although I don't want any kitty spraying in my face, especially a bobcat!
I have to say Maia loves to show off her butt as well, and it is cute! I'm always giving her compliments, maybe I should stop.
Maia makes me laugh all the time! She is the 'life' in my life!

I thought Monet's the only one that does that!

This is a great thread! I'm enjoying reading and thinking, "Yup.... Larry does that!" - Must agree with the racing from the litterbox after a good poop. Cracks me up.

But Larry always cracks me up. There's the sticking his paw in the food while lying on the floor and taking one piece at a time, never bothering to get up..... but I'm used to that.

What really makes me laugh out loud is when he "hops". He'll be staring at me, wanting some attention, and when I say, "What?" and start to move towards him, he hops up on his rear legs, turns around and hops off, with his big foofy tail in the air! I swear, he hops like a rabbit!

Well this one's kind of strange.

Sometimes I happen to be watching a nature program about some type of wildlife. When Sweetie happens to see animals on the TV screen, he gets soooo excited. He follows every single movement the animals make, and his eyes get so big that they look like they are ready to fall out of his head. He usually starts purring, and he's probably quivering, and the look on his little face is completely intense as he stares at the TV.
