I wanted to share some good news!!!

First of all, he was diagnosed with early kidney disease two years ago, and has to have a blood test every six months to check his kidney function. Today's test showed that his kidney function is within normal, thanks to a strict diet of K/D, and his liver function and glucose levels were also normal.

Another thing I was concerned about was a small bump on Snowball's back. I was afraid this might be something serious, but it turned out to be only an ingrown hair.

One more thing...he was so well behaved during his exam that the vet wanted to make him a model patient for the other cats!!!

Snowball will be 12 years old next month, and I'm so glad he is still healthy.

Good news! I'm happy to hear that Snowball is doing well and was very well behaved. Maybe he should do a kitty lecture on how to behave at the vet.

It's such a relief when you take your babies in for a checkup and everything comes back normal. I'm so glad Snowball is doing well on his K/D diet. Yay for Snowball!

That is good news! Keep up the good work with Snowball. I'm sure he's so appreciative of you!

He should come over here to teach my 2 old ones how to properly behave at the vet!

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
I'm just catching up, and I saw this thread, and obviously got worried at first.... but YAY!!!! We have tried so hard to make sure Tuxedo gets his special diet (c/d) ONLY, but he had another urinary tract infection today. We haven't given him any treats (other than the c/d we keep in a treat jar so he THINKS he's getting treats) - and we haven't seen him eat anything other than his food. Poor little guy!

I'm SO GLAD Snowball is healthy and doing great! That is such a testament to you. Seems like he's going to live a long, healthy life.

P.S. I sincerely doubt Tuxedo is being a model patient!!!!!! Maybe Snowball can give him lessons?

LOL!!!! Maybe! The veterinary clinic was a little quieter than usual last week. That really helped Snowball stay calm during his exam. It didn't even upset him when the vet took his temperature.
