Look what showed up outside last night

I have a bunch of stray cats out here. I did some help getting them spayed and some area really friendly.

I frequently take the trimmings from meat I'm cooking and leave them on the back porch so they have some treats.

I also have a camera system in the front and back of my place. I go back in the mornings and review the previous day's recordings to see if I see any new cats to trap. But this is what I found this morning

It looks awfully skinny. The dog next door was carrying on like crazy at 1:30 a.m. last night, and when I looked out we had a fox sitting on our front steps. That was really weird, because usually they're around in the early morning (4 - 6 a.m.).

There was an article in our newspaper this week telling people only high fences will keep the foxes out of their yards. I had to laugh, because our fence is 2 meters high (6'6"), and the darn things just climb it.

yeah i thought he looked way too skinny too. but that's not unusual around here. I'm used tot hem in the north where they are fuzzy

How cool! We have red Foxes here by me, and while they are very cute, and cuddly looking, they are actually pretty aggressive.

He looks thinner I think because his legs are longer than a northern fox breed.

In this heat, they're not likely to be very fuzzy!

I could upload the video to youtube but it's not any clearer than the picture, and it's not like an earth shattering event. Just strange that he came right here. We live about 300 yards from a big lake, but it's very suburban here.

Very cute, but he needs to put on some weight!
