My husband, Mark, has been having health problems since late April. In June, after 2 stays in the hospital, he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure (he's only 54). He had a stress test last week and it showed abnormalities in his heart, but we're not sure what's going on. Today he will have an angiogram and a heart cath to see if they can figure out what's causing his heart to not pump properly. Not sure if it's a blockage, heart valve problems, or what. Please pray for a clear diagnosis of the situation and for no complications, an easy fix, and a speedy recovery.

I'm sending good vibes for him, I'll also pray for good results from the test.

You've got it, girlfriend!

Hope Mark is home with his kitties really soon, and that there is a treatment plan in place to help him feel the best he can!

So how did it go?

I suspect that and angioplasty is in the cards for a lot of us in the coming years, unless we have a famine and all of us lose weight!

Thank you so much for the prayers and good wishes. The procedure went well and we finally have a diagnosis (and some answers!) and plan of action. It's not what we were hoping for, but it's nice to finally have some answers. The heart cath showed that Mark has several blockages and will require bypass surgery to adequately fix the problem. He will need to have either 4 or 5 bypasses. They'll decide on #5 when they get in there. The surgery is set for next Thursday morning.

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
I'm sorry it's not the news we were all hoped for, but at least you have answers and a plan.
My dad is a Type I diabetic from the age of 9, diagnosed in 1940. At 65 years old, he required quintuple bypass surgery. He'll be turning 80 in October.

With the right diet, medication, and exercies, your DH will do just fine!

for a successful surgery and a quick and complete recovery!
