Daily Thread Monday 8/8/2011

Morning all!

The vacation countdown is ON! I just have to get through this week and then next week, we're on vacation.

I had a crazy busy weekend! Saturday the shelter I deal with had an adoption fair, so Dana and I were at the shelter at 8AM helping get all of the kitties ready, helping transport to the fair site, helping set up, etc. We didn't leave until after 5:00PM, but what an incredible day! We got to spend time with a lot of fellow foster parents and volunteers, not to mention a TON of cute kitties! I guess the total adopted were 24, with 4 more pending. Included in these were my foster kittens Nickel & Toonie!!!

Then yesterday we went to Mom's to celebrate my brother, Tyler's, birthday. Yummy food, cake, good time!

Kailie, I'm glad you guys had alot of fun and some of the kitties found homes

Today it is dark and rainy so I am getting some housework done. I have to take the boys to the community center at 1 for the summer program we have going on there. Then the usual, supper and go for a jog.

I don't have to work tonight so I get to sleep in my own bed

Morning Friends!!

So Kailie, what kind of birthday cake did Tyler have????

It rained pretty much all weekend. All day on Saturday and even some storms yesterday. We're to continue with the storms until Thursday, when things are to clear out for a couple of days anyway.

Planning Commission meeting this afternoon right after work, then we have to grab a few groceries. And that should be pretty much it. It's an exercise night, so I'll be back in the bedroom with my dumbbells for awhile.

Good afternoon... feeling a bit off today, and BF stayed home from work today because he's not feeling well either. However, I planned to make my spaghetti squash for dinner tonight, and we're still going to do that. Other than that, I've been doing laundry, and not much else. Just a blah day. I'm enjoying the quiet before tomorrow when the roofers come to start on our new roof! Tomorrow is tear-off day, getting rid of all the old wood shake, so it'll be a mess, I'm sure. It'll be great when the new roof is one though.

Well have a good Monday everyone!
