Just wondering what shows you guys just can't miss. This is my favorite time of year since all my shows just started new seasons. Here is a list of my addictions.

-Degrassi
-Hoarders
-Intervention
-Storage Wars
-Extreme Make Over Home Edition
-Bad Girls Club

I also LOVE watching COPS. It only comes on once a week on basic cable though and I usually forget or gets interrupted for a ball game or NASCAR race.

Right now Warehouse 13 and Alphas on SyFy

For the summer, just True Blood. Normally I get excited for Americas Got Talent, but this year its not very good. The rest of the year: Dexter, House, Bones, The Office, The Vampire Diaries, How I Met Your Mother and One Tree Hill. I watch others, but those are my favourites.

I Dead Like Me. I was happy when the movie came out, even though it wasn't as good as the show.

I more so go through stages of wanting to watch the same show for a while; then I get bored with it.

But I do love NCIS and NCIS Los Angeles! We watch a lot of DIY network and the science channels and what not. DH likes any survival show... I get tired of those pretty quick. His favorite seems to be what I call Man Vs. Wild with BARE Butt Grylls!

totally forgot about that show!
I'm glad True Blood is back on, and they toned it down a bit. Toward the end of the last season, there wasn't a single male character left that hadn't been involved in some kind of gay sex scene... it was like, cmooooon!

Currently watching Misfits, Wilfred (US), and Boardwalk Empire.

Right now it's Hell's Kitchen, Master Chef and The Closer. But the rest of the year it includes Bones, NCIS, Criminal Minds, House and Fringe. We don't have cable so we at the mercy of my MIL. She records, we go over and fix dinner and watch whatever is taped or live. I always like The Amazing Race, but I was outvoted so they aren't recorded.

Vampire Diaries
One Tree Hill
Gossip Girl
True Blood

That's about it. I'm not a huge TV person, I would rather read a book
post #15 of 47

Hawaii 5-0
Bones (Just started watching it last season and am trying to catch up with the episodes on TNT.....I've already asked "Santa" for the last six seasons)
Vampire Diaries
Supernatural

True Blood (via DVDs)
Dexter (via DVDs)
Dexter
Sons Of Anarchy
True Blood
Breaking Bad
Boardwalk Empire
The Walking Dead
Spartacus
My co-worker just gave me Breaking Bad in DVDs for me to watch. I'm still working my way through Rome, then I have to watch Dead Like Me. After that it's the last season of Deadwood and then I can watch Breaking Bad. And by that time, it will be time for Dexter and True Blood again.

We don't watch a lot of tv or DVDs during the summer months, but I tend to devour them during the winter.

* Ghost Hunters
* Housewives of....whatever
* Hell's Kitchen (cuz chef Ramsey is hot)
* Flipping Out
* Deadliest Catch
* Dirty Jobs (cuz Mike Rowe is hot)
I also like a couple of things on Adult Swim which I'd rather not talk about.
Game of Thrones
Law and Order: SVU

Master Chef
Hell's Kitchen
... yeah pretty much anything on Food Network too.
I'm really enjoying Expedition Impossible (ABC) right now.

I love the Food Network..

Iron Chef
Next Food Network Star
Chopped
Challenge
and many more

I learned how to chop onions without too many tears there.

I also watch Animal Planet. I love the one's about cats obviously. Also the one's that rescue animals from cruel and neglective owners. I saw one last night about some horses that were so emancipated that one could not even stand. They had to put him in a brace so he would even have a chance to live. The owners were convicted of felony animal abuse. They got 5 days in jail, $1000 fine and 100 hours of community service. The horses were adopted out to new, caring homes. The one that couldn't even stand made a full recovery. It didn't look like the same horse.

I liked to watch Ina Garten,Barefoot Contessa (DH calls her the Snobby Contessa, but I love some of her recipes) and Alton Brown's Good Eats. That's not airing anymore, but Alton is working on another series. Can't wait for that.....I just love that guy; I love his quirkiness and I learned so much from him. I think I like him because he doesn't just tell you to do something; he tells you why you have to do it that way. Sometimes I'll watch the Neeley's, too, but I have to in the mood to watch them. I haven't watched the Food Network in a long time.

DH watches Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, but I can't stand to watch Guy what's-his-name. Honestly, that man curdles my corpuscles.

OTOH, I used to watch Man v. Food quite a bit on the Travel Channel.

True Blood is my hands down favorite. I've read all the books and I still have no idea what's going to happen next on the show. I saw a lot of True Blood mentioned, maybe we should start our own thread?

Otherwise:
Pawn Stars
House Hunters
Conan
Law and Order/NCIS/CSI

Eh, what's ever on really. I tend to get sucked into marathons.

I used to love Good Eats, but then my view of Alton Brown was soured immensely by his behavior on The Next Food Network Star... he can really, really be a jerk. I wish his personality would line up with how he is on Iron Chef and Good Eats, but unfortunately it doesn't.

I don't really follow anything real-time, just wolf it down in large amounts on Netflix and Hulu later.

My favorites-

Criminal Minds
Dexter
Dead Like Me (glad to see other fans here!!! )
The Office
House
Glee
Justified
Game of Thrones (just getting started)
Psych
Freaks and Geeks
Pushing Daisies

My "big ones" - my can't live without them, desert island TV shows - would be Criminal Minds, Dexter, and The Office.
The never-miss-an-episode list is pretty short:
Criminal Minds
Survivor

We do watch a lot of tv around here, tho. The 'must-have' list includes:
any Law & Order
30 Rock
The Closer
CSI (the original)
The Big Bang Theory
Raising Hope
The Good Wife
Cubs baseball
Bones
House

In the "why did they cancel that?!" section, we have:
Pushing Daisies
Dead Like Me
Better Off Ted
Law & Order LA
Gardening by the Yard (HGTV)

And, in my "guilty pleasure that DH doesn't like" section, we have:
Food Network Challenge
Chopped
HGTV's Next Design Star
Cupcake Wars

I just had a flashback to another old show I absolutely LOVED. Third Watch. I still have a framed picture of the original cast in my room at my parents house.
Eddie Cibrian is so gorgeous!

I was really into House for a time but I have sort of forgotten about it. I was following Cake Boss for a good while too. I think I have some shows to catch up on. But right now its time to catch last nights new episodes of Hoarders and Intervention.

Oh - I forgot. Thanks to the Hoarders thread floating around in the Cat Lounge, I'm now addicted to that, too
post #30 of 47
Bones
House
Forensic Files

I utilize my DVR often

Right now we are watching Bones seasons 1-5 on Netflix instant because we missed some of the beginning seasons (didn't start watching regularly til 2009-ish). We missed a lot of last season's because the DVR kept forgetting to record it So when that comes out on Netflix we'll be watching that AND checking the DVR every week to make sure it records season 7 if we haven't caught up by then!
