I was MIA, apparently! Let me tell my story-I had a cat, Pumpkin. Sweetest girl ever. I lost her 2 years ago to "Burmese cat paralysis".

(I had no idea there was even a disease called that, let alone have a cat with it. It was really sad, and my kids and I were destroyed by it, and it took us 2 years to be ready for another kitty in our lives.

I adopted my new little man, Kairi, from a woman with an "ooops" litter. He is a gorgeous black and silver long haired tabby, with a personality that doesn't quit. I had him to the vet yesterday for his first vaccinations and blood tests and just a good once over. He is the picture of health, and actually was really fantastic with all the poking and prodding.

He is 7 weeks old, born on June 1, and I can honestly say, I'm totally, head over heels, in love with this little guy.

I'm so so sorry about Pumpkin . It's terrible to go through that and hope you didn't have to deal with it alone. But so happy you have another baby to dote on and brag about!! So...how about some pictures???

I've got to figure out how to get them from my phone to the computer. (besides mobil uploads to facebook.)

Lemme go tinker with it-he's so adorable, purring on my lap, sleeping.

Hi and welcome back ! I am very sorry for the loss of your beloved cat Pumpkin. I am very glad you have a new healthy baby . Hope you can get photo's up soon. If you want to make a photo bucket account I can help you upload photo's from that site.

Thank you. He's a really good boy too...(For a feline-lol)

I'm having a great time with him, he's playful, and when I sit down he's right next to me, sleeping and purring away when I touch him. My kids are all camping with my husband, and they all called early this morning to find out how their baby is doing. I emailed my daughter pictures, so the entire campgrounds have seen him by now.

Hi and welcome back!

I´m sorry to hear about Pumpkin. It takes time to get ready again after loosing a kittie you love a lot!

Your new little kitty is so adorable! Congratulations with the new family member!

Oh my gosh...
Kairi could not be more adorable.
I am so glad that you are back so we can share in the joy of your new family member.

I know how devastating the lost of a fur child can be but always remember,
you honor Pumpkin's memory by opening your heart and home to another ball of fur that needed love.

OMG!!!! That kitten is a CUTIE!!!!

I lost a baby kitty to FIP, and I know how hard it is even to talk about it. I'm glad you came back!
