Hello everyone. I am writing on behalf of my beloved 10 year old Lexi Mouse. She has something eating her jawbone and we don't know what it is. Her complete story is on her blog.
The long and short of it is the doctors do not know what is causing it. A biopsy didn't reveal cancer but it was a small sample. They would like to do another biopsy and then do surgery if it IS cancer. (There is a possibility that she has a bone infection?)
I feel strongly against removing her jawbone; even half of it. I am very overwhelmed by all of this and don't know what to do. I would welcome any experiences, information or insight anyone may have. Thank you.
