Here's Simba Yim absorbed in his greatest guilty pleasure. He knows he's allowed to look but not touch.
And sometimes, when the temptation is too great, he jumps on the side of the tanks...









And then he decided he needed some "eyeball rest."


What are some of your babies' hobbies/guilty pleasures?

Simba is so cute! If Holland has a guilty pleasure I'd say simply knocking things off the table. It's just habit now for me to put safe items on the table that she can knock off...

She just loves everything about knocking things off tables... and it's easy playtime for me! I line up fuzzy mousies, pencils, pieces of chalk (her favorite ), these jumping bean toys that my nieces and nephews like, bits of scrap paper, empty lip balm tubes, bottle caps, you name it, on the table and she just goes to town... Ahahaha Holland is so cute! I'm glad you were able to turn it into a game! That's making lemonade out of lemons! The chalk - I bet she loves that satisfying breaking sound they make when they hit the ground. I hope your circumstances change so that you can get that playmate for Holland soon! All of these threads lately with members adopting playmates for their cats makes me want one too!

Ugh I know what you mean about the cheap entertainment. Simba jumps on the side of the fish tanks and just slides down the glass. He knows he can't reach them but I guess it's fun for him to see the fish scatter in surprise.

Oh, I though of another quirk! No pictures, and not really a guilty pleasure, since I love when she does it, but Holland always sits on the bathroom counter when I wash my face at night. I have learned that once I'm finished, she LOVES a sink full of fresh water. I put in the plug and run the cold water... she is fascinated by any bubbles that form, and then she sits and drinks for a few minutes once the sink is full. I hate wasting water, but I love to know that she's drinking her water, my precious little baby girl...

Gravity Experiments are very popular here too. Mazy cat especially, but Tolly likes to have things lined up along the side of the tub to knock down when he follows me into the bathroom. These days he has to move fast other wise Queen Eva gets to them first.

Beautiful pictures of Simba!!!

We used to have pet mice and Kuan Yin would sit on top of their tank and watch them. They had no fear of her and would climb up to the grated lid and sniff her
She used to love when we had fish and dip her paw in the water, lol. We also had anoles but she was a little more aggressive with those, she killed one and put it on my pillow as a gift. They were rehomed after that because she was adamant about giving me presents
She likes looking at our red eared slider turtle (whose tank is quite kittyproofed just in case!!). And staring at birds outside of course
Solomon likes when I take a bath. He'll wait till I'm out and drying off and stand in the water and watch it go down the drain, crazy cat!! All the while alternating lifting his paws and shaking the water off and setting them right back down in it again. It looks like he's marching in place the whole time
He also likes to try his hardest to get into the dog food bin. I found him one morning with his little butt and back feet sticking out of the top and wiggling, little brat!!
And all of them like to walk across the keyboard when I'm trying to type...very slowly, I might add

Kuan Yin!!! I guess there is not much you can do if it's her sign of affection to bring you offerings. Yeah, I remember the picture of her you posted with her TINY looking at the turtle.
Solomon is so silly! Is he okay with taking baths?
Hahaha scavenging for food as if he needs it!

OMGosh, Simba Yim is beautiful, just beautiful! I love how he's watching so intently. And then he simply has to touch....he can't help it. He is a beautiful cat.

BooBoo, our resident male, loves to Bounce with me. We Bounce around the house about three times a week in the morning right after I get out of the shower.

April, I tried to get a video of Holland performing her "gravity experiments" (I love that term, otto!), but she has a tendency to NOT do what she normally does when I have a camera in my hand... Also, she had just eaten, hence all the lip smacking. Most of the "toys" on the counter are plastic foods from my nieces' play kitchen... chili pepper, onion rings, lemon...



This one, just because you can see her in action... She was playing with one of her fuzzy mice and "lost" it under the mat (I think it came from my niece's play stroller). She LOVES the fuzzy mice, and I HATE the fuzzy mice, because I always have to fish them out from under the furniture.

Midnight's favorite passtime is watching us when we are writing with a pen or pencil. he's crazy about them, and has stolen quite a few on us. We say he needs them to write his autobiography

I'd love to read Midnight's biography to! Can just imagine what he'd say about us lol. They both like dinosaurs. If something with dinosaurs is own, Midnight will run right over and stare up at the t.v. Luna watches anything that we put on. If there is a lot of action, and lot of color it will get their attention
