If you're worried that she'll take off before her vet appointment again, can you lock her in the garage until then? At least you'll know where to find her, LOL.

that is the good point but i am afraid that she might go crazy overnite since she has never been locked out in the garage so it might make things worse and she never used litter box before.
you know if she takes off again then it was not meant to be and i am going to leave it alone! one thing that helps is that she will not have anymore food tonite and in the morning and that might keep her around.

Well... I was able to put her in the carrier with no problems, she meowed a little driving there.. The doctor looks at her and said that she can spay her and it is not too late. She was so sweet to everyone better than my own cats!!! I will pick her up this afternoon.. Hope everything goes well. She is a sweet cat hope I find her a home.
one question vet recommended that i can keep her overnite there and no charge or i can put her in my garage and close the garage till she feel better. my worries if she stays in clinic and there are no one there after 6pm till the following morning and if something goes wrong no one to help her plus unfamiliar place for her. if she stays in my garage she knows it well and i can check up on her in case she start meowing, what do you all think i should do?

i think if she's familiar with the garage and will be warm and safe there, then you might as well take her home. although that's nice the vet wasn't going to charge for an overnight stay (where do you live? i should move there). congratulations on getting her all taken care of. I have been around pregnant cats before, sometime their hormones make them especially friendly, almost like when they're in heat, so maybe that's why she's been rolling around, etc. or maybe she's just happy somebody's helping her

Congratulations on getting her to the vet, and I am so very relieved that they are getting her spayed. Thank God about that and you won't have to find homes and raise a litter of kittens now. That should be less off of your shoulders now too. It is nice of the vet to offer to keep her overnight and I would consider it only because since this was a more involved spay... sad to say. And she would be there at the vet in case she needs anything. ON the other hand, she would probably be more comfortable in the garage since that is home to her. But either way, you have an option which is good.

I am glad there is a good end to this story and I hope you can find her a good home too. What about the one kitten?? I know this is stressful, but you will feel so good about yourself for doing what you did and saving more lives to a life of uncertainty!!! GOOD JOB

Thanks.. I pick her up around 5pm and they close at 6pm and not opening till 7am so really no one is there to take care of her in case. I don't think she minds my garage since last time I could not get her out of there! Lol
the only difference is I have to keep the door shut this time but I be at home all evening and off tomorrow so I can keep and eye on her.
The kitten is fine and getting a little more domestic but more challenge to handle her.. Have to wait a little longer.
the weather has been perfect here last few days.. low 50's and high mid 70's so she will be comfortble in the garage.

SO GLAD you were able to get her to the vet without a problem! And how wonderful she was able to be spayed!

As to what to do now... are you sure there's no staff there overnight? Ask. Because our vet closes at 8:00pm and opens at 8:00am, but there is ALWAYS someone there to check on the animals. Someone in the hospital ALWAYS needs something - special feeding, medicine, to keep an eye on an IV line...

We always bring our pets that have been spayed home the same day, but those that have to be released, we always have them spend at least one night at the vet.

thanks for advice, i called the vet office and there is no one in there overnite. i think i is better to bring her home. in my lunch i went home and with blower i clean the garage, there is a cat tree in there and a big cloth chair with rug in it and she has been using them before when it was cold. i already put a bowl of water and dry food and made a box with cat litter for her!!

so.. i think she will like it better than vet cilinic in the cage!! i will check up on her few times at nite.
my floor in garage is in good shape hardly any dry grease spots and i really don't think she will lay on the floor anyway.

You might want to put a little potting soil in the cat litter if she's not used to a litter box. I've heard of that working, and my former stray really liked to use my plants as a litter box!

Oh that's just strange! (That they have no one on staff, but animals there!).

Anyway, it sounds like you have a FABULOUS set up for the kitties in there!
It sounds like a wonderful place for her to recuperate!

Yay! I'm so glad to hear that the mamacat is safe and now spayed. Now she can have a happy life living in your neighborhood with no worries about taking care of babies or getting chewed up by a tomcat.

The kitten will be getting pregnant VERY soon, if she's not already. So unless you want to do this all over again, you need to get her ASAP! You can borrow a humane trap from a shelter and get her to the vet that way if you don't think she'll tame soon. I wouldn't give her much longer before getting a trap.

the mom cat is doing well in the garage but she still very wobbly after 8 hrs from surgery!! she is as sweet as she can be purring and rubbing against me ! ! i have been going in the garage and checking out on her "poor thing"!!

Yeah, it takes a while for them to recover from the anesthetic. They look so wobbly and pathetic while they come out of it! She should be right as rain tomorrow.

Oh good, she is doing well
. Just thinking of Mom cat this morning... She should quite tired today and just need a warm place to rest now. AW I am so glad you got her done, and now no kittens to find homes for and worry about
. Although, now you have to get that kitten outside spayed, because soon she will get pregnant. I alway say: one done/rescued and LOTS more to go. It never ends, lots of strays out there.....

thanks for everyone's help, she is doing well this morning, great appetite!! she is still in my garage and i don't think she minds it either, but tomorrow i have to let her out in my patio and i know most of the time she hangs around there. she really likes to come inside, every time i open the dooe to grarage or patio she wants to force herself in!! i think she was indoor cat somewhere and someone dumped her, she is not afraid of anything, very laidback and sweet as she can be. when i get a chance i take a picture of her and post it here.
i really need to find her a home!

Oh I'm so glad she's doing so well!! She definitely was someone's pet at some point, poor baby.
She knew just who to befriend, didn't she?

well.. this morning i let her out of my garage but i left the garage enough open for her if she wants to get in or out, brought her to my patio as it was before with her bed, food and water she hang around there for a while and looking at the lake, trees and birds and then i did not see her a for a while. i went back to get ready to go to work and i used the garage to go to my car and guess what she was in the garage chilling inside the cat tree!!
i guess she feels comfortable there. i opened the garage and got in the car and she still in there. i left a little open in case if she wants to get out.
looks like she like to hang around in the garage which is fine with me.
