Is there a certain breed/color you have a weakness for?

I'm only fond of that special breed that purrs and rubs up against my legs when I'm trying to run to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

I've almost always had an odd-eyed white cat, and I've almost always had a black cat. I love torties and calicos, so now I have a dilute calico, longhair - she is so pretty.

and I have my dopey Raggie, Smudge

I am partial to the cats that do not shed, feed themselves, do not scratch anything but the scratch pad, scoop and change their own litter box, never throw up, and does not like playing the game "smell my butt". Beyond that, they could look like Bill for all I care.

I'm sure you'd never have guessed..but I really like Brits, long- and shorthairs. And Scottish Folds.
(And Persians. And..)

Colors: black silvers, mostly shaded, chinchilla, smoke and colorpoints. My newest crush is black silver ticked tabbies.

Maine Coons, esp. the classic tabby type, and solid black (my beloved Smudge had a lot of Maine Coon in him; all shiny black.) I also love short-haired black cats of any breed.

Maine Coons have the most delighful personalities, too!

I like them all (unfortunately). I have a weakness for brown/gray tabbies, as my first cat that I got at age 9 was one. However, I've never had another one, though I had an orange/white tabby. I hope to have another brown/gray tabby in my life. There is one at my shelter now who I've been pining for over the last 6 months.

But, the cats who have become my particular cause are black ones. I've had 8 of them so far in my life.

Anyone surprised?

When my dad found aki burnt inside one of dealership's car hoods he called me. I have to admit I judged him by his looks, even caked with dark debris in both ears and tar and stones stuck to his little burnt paws he was gorgeous. Always a sucker with the orange and white. The white pattern across his face always gave him such fantastic facial expressions. We had such short time together sadly but I dont think there could be a cat more tailored made for me. So beautiful, great mix of mellow and active, and never made a peep those first two months as he healed and slow introduction attempt was going with my 13 year old first cat.
If only we could go back in time huh, just one more try knowing what we know now.

All cats are cute, but I'm partial to big, long hair cats like the Ragdoll, Maine Coon, Norwegian, Himalayan, etc.

My domestic long hair tabby is the epitome of cuteness, but he would be very jealous if he knew that I love ogling at Carolina's Hope, Lucky and Bugsy. Ragdolls/Ragamuffins are just things of beauty.

Nope. I love all kitties! Case in point... I adopted Spencer, sight unseen, and when I first saw him after his surgery, he was a little spit fire and nearly took off my hand
. He's home with me now and such a little lover!!
