It's been quite a while since I posted a thread of my own so I thought I would now. How many cats are their living in your neighbourhood at tyhe moment, including your own of course. Feel free to name them if you know their names or have come up with some nicknames.

1. Jazzy
2. Ginga
3. Mittens (An angry cat, pretty cute though, walks with her owners.)
4. Harry (Extremely nice cat, getting into old age though.)
5. Tabby 1 down the road (No nickname and don't know his name yet, very cute and small, reminds me of Ginga, he came up to me at the park just outside the house)
6. Tabby 2 down the road (No nickname for him either, they both go walking with their owner about twice a week though, very cute.)
7. Kitten (No nickname, name unknown, we saw her out the front of someone's house in the street, at one point, she nearly crossed the road! Very cute and a very small voice.)
8. Longear (Known in this house as: Bad Cat. Terrorised Ginga, leaving her with a scratch on her nose and got into a fight with Jazzy. Very nice to humans though.)
9. Silkfur (Longear's sister, a very timid cat and rarely seen)
10. Chocolate (A chocolate coloured cat, living with Longear and Silkfur, rarely seen as his owner has broken the law of only 1 cat without a permit.)
11. Firestar (Seen once, walking along the driveway with Jazzy.)
12. The Persian (Only seen once or twice, known to be living with Harry. The Persian wanted to fight Jazzy but we scared him/her off and never saw him/her again.)
I know that there are other cats around here, I've heard children playing with them but I've never actually seen them so I'm estimating in the neighbourhood we have about 14 cats. How many do you have?

Jackz, Jazzy & Ginga.

I don't know! We have 2, Hannah and Tumbles. The neighbor has 1, Peach. We don't see many kitties roaming the neighborhood, for which I'm thankful!

Where my cats are
I have no idea! I live on a country road with some farms surrounding my property. I know the farm behind us has a big orange tabby that likes to come into my yard. The people across the street have at least 6 outdoor cats. They could be indoor/outdoor...not sure. I see them playing around their front yard (which is more like a giant garden). I'm sure there are others in the area too. My 2 are indoor only.

Too many, as there are constant cat fights. We have a real rodent problem which encourages people to have indoor/outdoor cats. One family has five who are outside together every morning - they look like a street gang loitering on the corner. We're the neighborhood nip dealers. We've got catnip plants in both the front and backyard, so lots of feline visitors.

I have no idea! I have only ever seen one orange tom a year or so ago. He showed up for a few nights in a row and would come look at Nora through the back door, and then never returned. Otherwise I haven't seen a single other cat.

Its actually a pretty sad situation out here.
I'm the only person in the park that owns cats.

However, the park has an average population of around 15 ferals.
The old man that is feeding them cannot be talked into trapping them, even though several of us have offered, not only transportation, but to chip in to have them all altered.
There are no TNR programs out here, and the local pound will simply euth.

The thing that makes so terrible is that I'm in the Mojave desert, a harsh environment for any animal.
And these kitties breed at least twice a year, however, maybe two in every thirty reaches adulthood, usually becoming prey to owls, coyote, and fox.
That is is the snakes, scorpions, or ringtails don't get to them first.

Its just a very sad situation.

I don't know the names of any neighborhood cats, but I do see them walking through the yard. Mostly at night. There's 1 that looks so much like
Lynxx
, that years ago I had thought he was
Lynxx
! I even chased him up the road to his house trying to catch him. His owners thought I was nuts, but I told them why I chased him home. Now when I see him walk through the yard, I feel bad because he really does remind me of
Lynxx
.

Way too many. There is a REAL crazy cat lady 2 blocks down. I have no idea how many she has. She also has a lot of rabbits. I have no doubt, that is why we have a momma fox near by. It isn't unusual for her to walk down the road with a rabbit or kitten in her mouth. We have no animal control or anyone else that deals with people like her.

No idea. On my street alone, my neighbor infront has 1 calico, the one on my left has 2, and the one on the right has 1 mom cat who disappeared after she gave birth. So the average would be (including my 6) about 8. There are the usual strays (3 - 4) but they keep on moving around.
