What are you doing tonight?

Well, its saturday night, I used to live for the weekends, we used to have a very busy social diary at the weekends but for some reason that has all ceased now, so here I am tonight, dh is on his pc playing music which I have to endure and talking to his friend off his train forum on msn and I'm here on my laptop flicking between here and ebay with a bottle of lambrini. I am having steak and salad for tea though, so I am looking forward to that.
What are you doing tonight? anything exciting or a quiet night in? x

Picking up my new chair 1/2 (we are renting a pickup truck to save $120 on shipping). The cats have, over the past 5 years, shredded my armchair in the study, where I like to curl up by the fire and read, so it's time for a new, larger chair, with sturdier upholstery:

It's actually more olive drab green and tan mixed, and much prettier in person than the pic.

I'm working tonight from 5pm until 1:30am. Satruday nights after work is Texas Hold "em night at over at my friend's house. There are usually 5-6 of us (all coworkers). Based on past experience, if I don't leave the game by 4:30am I won't get ome to bed until about 8am. Which wouldn't be bad if I didn't have to work Sunday nights. Since this is a holiday weekend for the P.O. I may take off tomorrow.

It's going to be a boring Saturday for me, I have nothing planned. I just texted a couple of friends to see what they're up to, but it seems as though none of them are free to chill with me.
I may work on an article for the online magazine I write for, or apply for part time jobs. I'm definitely going to get bored sitting at my computer though, and there are no movies or shows or books I like lately.
My ex wanted to go to the gym with me, but I feel like I'm spending too much time with him lately and that is not a good thing, so I'm going to avoid getting too close to him again and just stay by myself.

I really like that, it looks like a chair you could just jump into and curl up in (of course complete with kitties), very comfy. x

It's just about time to go to bed. I've been multi-tasking - watching a documentary about 9/11 conspiracy theories, playing with Jamie and Web surfing.

Am about to get off the computer and pick up the house so that we won't have to do it Monday (we're both off together for a change), and Charlie is working until 6, so we'll have something for dinner, watch a bit of tv and turn in since he's working tomorrow.......God, we're boring!

I had contemplated inviting our friends who own a local radio station and their two girls up for dinner, but decided that I really didn't feel like company..... more in the mood for a nice, quiet night....

Quiet night!! (I love my quiet Saturday nights.) I have a few movies I need to watch, but I think I'll just make dinner and watch football. Dinner is tuna steak with sauteed veggies. (And a glass of wine.....of course. )

Larry's bothering me for his dinner, so, apparently, I have to do that first.

Well, after a busy day of getting our hair cut, getting donuts, going to the Library , getting lunch and going to visit Mom, it's a nice quiet night of reading. And that's perfectly all right with me!

Almost every Satuday, my boyfriend and I go over to my parents' place to do laundry (we don't have a machine in our condo) and then we go out to dinner with them. Our usual spot is Ruby's. P:

Then we tend to hang around their place that night while doing the laundry, usually watching scifi shows or movies or whatnot.

It's the night we live for every week! A nice break in our usual work-sleep-work routine.

I have been feeling yucky today. The hubby went to go pick up our dinner. We are going to watch movies and maybe play some cards tonight.

I worked until 7:30. Then came home and had the chilli that my husband made in the crock pot. Now I am sitting here on the computer and he is playing a computer game.

I want to watch a movie, but I am not sure if I want to watch Piranha, Death Race 2 or The Social Network.

I will be a quiet evening at home. Since it is -24 C with a wind chill of -30, and it is snowing heavily. I am hibernating in my nice warm house. I do wish I had some wine, but I am not leaving the house to get any

Thank you! It is comfy and very plush. And Little Miss and Gemma were the very first cats to start scratching the corners. I covered them with clear tape until I can get to the fabric store tomorrow. I plan to make corner covers from very heavy clear vinyl that is sold by the yard. I may use twist pins to attach the protectors to the chair corners. I think I'll cut them to be about 12" wide (will wrap around each corner 6" on each side), and the length of the chair's corners. Then, I'll be fancy, and round the corners of the plastic to look nice. I got the idea from a product that charges $8.95 per corner for them! I can make them much cheaper, and also longer and wider for full protection.

I used to have a 2-seater (what we call a "loveseat" in the U.S.--not sure if that term is used elsewhere). However, I noticed that most people don't seem to like to sit that close to another person, so I've been using armchairs plus a 3-seater sofa (and with those, I noticed that visitors will take each end of the sofa, leaving the center free!). The armchairs I replaced were small in scale--ok for a 5ft tall woman like me, but not comfy for anyone else. I like to curl up in a chair,so I can read--which I couldn't do with those chairs. This new chair is perfect!

Ran errands all day and brought along a canine friend for the errands along with us. Pulled some premade homemade soup out of the fridge for dinner, healthy and filling.

Well, the stock show was much more fun than a sock show! And my son rode really well in the Custer battle re-enactment, he won the Pony Express contest, put out a lit newspaper with his trick bull-whipping, and carried the American Flag in the Ride of the Colors. A fun night! (I'm not proud or anything )

It's Sunday night here and it has been relaxing. There should have been more chores in my schedule. Finished work at 6pm and then had a lady over to look at one of my kittens and she fell in love and reserved Jovi, and then I went and did some shopping and picked up some DVD's. I'm about to go and pick my boyfriend up from work. I need him now because the bulb has blown in my room and I can't see my 8 week old babies!

I did!!! It's the playoffs - I have to watch football! The Pack trounced Atlanta, which I was very glad to see. I really, really like Aaron Rodgers. What a cool customer he is!!

DH watched the football games for awhile, then he came back to bed and we watched some HGTV. When he fell asleep, I watched a movie on Sci-Fi.
