What I was trying to post on the cat site


We brought Midnight to the vet because he was screaming, and trying to eat. Yes he had a problem with his baby teeth that weren't falling out. But that wasn't his problem. He some how (between sunday afternoon and tuesday morning, because he was seen by the vet on sunday) cut his pad. He wasn't even limping! believe me I'd notice him limping. It's Luna who we'd have trouble noticing because she always limps. His pad go infected. He stayed at the vet Tuesday night and last night, we picked him up this morning. He's got a cone collar on his neck, so he can't get at his paw. The bandage came off yesterday. He's on pain medicine. He's staying seperate from Luna. He only is allowed out of my room if he's in his carrier, to keep him from running around and pouncing.

We brought Midnight to the vet thinking that something was wrong with his baby teeth because he was meowing and refusing to eat, but trying to eat. The vet knew about his baby tooth not falling out. Said she'd take that out for us.

We found out later on that he wasn't crying over his baby tooth. He cut his paw on something, it got infected. I don't know what he could have cut it on because there's nothing sharp on the floor or in the house. Midnight and Luna are indoor only. She couldn't have clawed him, she actually keeps her Soft Paws on. We didn't even know anything about his paw, he wasn't limping, he was even running around like a mad man playing with Luna?

Midnight wound up having to stay over night Tuesday. His bandage came off yesterday, but they wanted to keep him again last night. We picked him up this afternoon.

Right now he's very groggy, he's on pain meds. He's got a cone collar on to keep him from getting at his paw. He keeps trying to get that paw in his mouth. He's got to stay in my room, without Luna. He's got to not run around, and pounce. He stayed on my bed for a few hours and slept. He's in his carrier now next to me. He's sleeping. His carrier is well padded with blankets, including his new favorite blanket.

Midnight didn't eat for the vet, he has lost weight. I can tell by picking him up. He didn't eat when we got him home. He did eat his supper. The cone prevents him from eating all of his meal, so I spoon fed him

The thing that is concerning me is before Lynxx died he was very weak, he couldn't even keep his head up. Well Midnight's weak, and his head just rolls to the side when I pick him up. My father insists it's because he's groggy from the pain med, and nothing like Lynxx.

Sorry I'm late with the update. I just freaked out when I found out about Midnight's paw, and having to stay over night twice. I was very worried about him, and believe me with the way things work out for me. I freaked out and thought everything was going to go wrong. My father even said I was being foolish, but I kept pointing out to him that he said that all those times I cried over Lynxx, and you guys already know how that ended. He insisted Midnight was going to be fine, but he also insisted Lynxx was going to be fine. So I've been very upset and that's why I haven't been back online. And now something is wrong with my computer i can't stay connected I'm sorry.
