Well I was going to ask if anyone else has found that they have a ton of cats right now & no one looking to adopt, but from the posts I've seen it appears it's not just our shelter. We were at the PetCo again this satruday with somewhere around 16 of the kittens currently at the shelter & not one person signed up for a kitten. The only serious looker was a couple who had already been to the shelter. I know that right now we have something like a 2 month waiting list also. I guess it never really dawned on me that this time of year would be so slow. It makes sense really with all the vacations & goings on in the summer, I would expect people would not want to adopt a new cat or kitten when they won't be around that much. I guess I just never thought about it before. So the lesson here is if your serious about getting a cat this is the time of year to do it because you'll have your pick of the group.
