Ok, so my husband and I were discussing potential future baby names.
I like Jackson, but I want to use Daniel as a middle name because it's a family name.
But then the kid's name would be awfully close to Jack Daniel's.
Is that bad?!

have two

I wouldn't set a kid up for any easy teasing. Tho one thing or another will be what they get teased on

I don't really see a problem with it. Do you plan to call him Jack? There are WAY worse names out there, and unless you specifically call him Jack Daniel I don't see how he would be teased. I think I only knew a couple of my friends' middle names growing up. Plus, honestly there are many things a child will/could get teased for throughout their childhood, I think their name is pretty low on the list unless it is an outrageous or out there name.

I actually know a kid named Jack Daniel. His mother joked that the next boy would be Samuel Adam (I would think that it's not a joke, but she did have 2 more boys and they weren't named after liquor, LOL).

Even if he does get teased for his name (kids will tease about anything), it won't be bad teasing. There's only so many things you can say about someone's name resembling the name of a brand of whiskey.
