Has anyone ever been to one of their stores? I was thinking on having my daughter's birthday there and was wondering how the experience was.

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

I have went to the store and had 2 made and ordered one online. (Please note I was 16 and 19 at the times I had them made!)
It was incredibly goofy for me, but it would be a great experience for a child! You pick out your animal, and then stuff it who ever full you want it to be, and put a voice in it if you want, and "groom" it and then dress it. It was a lot of fun, and you can get something no one else has! They also have voices that you can record your own, which I think would be great for a child!

My sister in law has done that a few times. She said they're a great place for kid's parties, and the kids certainly seemed to have fun. Her daughters have collected quite a few bears now!

I have 2.... I bought me one that says "I love you" that is in jeans and a cute shirt. The other I bought for DH. It has a 49er uniform and the voice goes "Grrrrrr" LOL They are in a closet with all the other stuffed animals.
I do have a huge (and I mean HUGE) Rudolph I won in Dec 2004. You can put batteries in it and the nose will light up. It is from Build-a-bear.

I took my 2 oldest when we adopted our youngest. It was very expensive. As soon as you go in a personal helper starts helping the kids.
They try to sell them everything in the store. I had to be the bad guy and step in, and set some limits. My neighbour had the same experience when she took hers.

They're kind of pricey parties IMHO. My youngest went to 2 of them. The girls at the party did have a price limit on the bears
One was at Build-A-Bear, another was at a local make your own stuffed animal shop. Don't remember the name of it at the moment.
The girls did have a blast. And dd came home with a really cute bear. It had no clothes- so I went out and for that Christmas I got her a ballet outfit for the bear (that's when dance was her "thing" LOL).

Since I'm still a teenager, I have 4 bears. One of them has a recording that sings happy birthday when you click it's hands. There really nice and it's silly what they make you do when you put it's heart in. She'll love one.
I haven't gotten a bear from there in two years though.

No, they aren't. VTB's are different. Already stuffed.
I'm 38 and still go to BaB every so often. Yes, they are a bit pricey... I've never done a party there. I have bears, bunnies and a penguin from them... What can I say? I'm a child at heart. I love my stuffed animals. I want to get the WWF Wolf they have...
