Seeing I am still searching for a food to switch the kitten to I came across this on Purina One's website. What do y'all think? I wish they listed ingredients. It says it will be in stores next month but then I wonder what stores? Pet stores or grocery stores. Anyone know any more about it? Says no corn or wheat! even their pro plan has corn so I wonder what it will be.

Depending on the price I might look into it for my outside gang(ferals.) I don't know they seem to be thriving on regular old Cat Chow(blue bag) they are nice and plump for the winter(necessary, it's really cold here) and nice and slim and trim for the summer. 2 are over 10 lbs. These are just big cats, not fat. They also have plenty of energy to play.

I'll have to see the price when it comes out(and the ingredients) but if it's reasonable I'll use it for the outsiders.

LOL, I think it's funny that they use "white meat chicken" as a selling pount. Animals really should have the dark meat--it's more nutritious. Humans are the ones who (mostly) prefer the taste of the white meat.

Anyway, I'll withhold judgement until I see the ingredient list and the pricing. It's probably similar to Purina Naturals. If it costs more than most decent brands there's really no point, but at least it'll be nice to have something decent available at Wal-Mart.

I've heard this before, so I got a package of legs and thighs and cooked it up for my cats. They just turned up their noses and walked away. They go crazy for the chicken breasts that I fix for myself. Merlin will actually try to grab it out of my mouth if I'm not careful.
Anyway, I had a lot of soup stock to freeze.

Thanks for the heads up!

I guess our discussion is why, creates hype and gets people talkin, heh! The ad also tries to make an emotional rather than logical appeal. All they say is chicken, oatmeal, barley, ground rice; no corn no wheat.

ps: speaking of marketing, ever notice that they never show guys holding cats, only dogs? felines can be manly... right? right? *holds buttercup insecurely*

They have the ingredients listed now on their website. Look up at the top and you can click each food.

I like that the first 2 ingredients are chicken and chicken meal. But soybean meal AND soy protein in the top ingredients? Ugh. Sure, no corn or wheat, but tons of soy! Now to see how they price it! I'm sure it'll cost more than regular Purina ONE so already it's overpriced, IMO.

Honestly I am going to say the price point will be higher but if I had to pick a grocery I would still pick the Purina naturals for price and ingredients / Macro nutrients
