I was helping out a friend by taking in 5 kittens to foster and they all got adopted...anyway shortly after i noticed my lab was missin hair, she is gettin old so i figured allergies..well to my shock..it is fleas. I've never had fleas , but i hear they can get bad fast. I am quickly doing research for the best approach..so far i think I am going with Capstar for both the cats and dogs and then frontline plus as a backup. I do not have carpeting...all i have is a sofa and loveseat that is material..and i will get a fogger for that... Anyone know of anything better...more effective?? I am disgusted..I hate bugs!!!

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

I've dealt with fleas twice. The first time Lynxx got fleas from the place we boarded him. We took him to the vet and we got Revolution. Never saw another flea again until we found Luna brought her home.
Luna was crawling with fleas. I never saw anything like it. Millions upon millions on her stomach. We gave her a bath in Dawn, it did kill some but not all. The next day we took her to the vet. The vet gave her a pill that would kill fleas for 2 days, but wouldn't kill the eggs. We put Frontline on her. Then we used Revolution Kitten which you have to get from a vet. Again so far we never saw another flea. We never had to flea bomb the house, or call Terminix.

I have a friend who had a similar experience a couple of months ago. One day she noticed a couple of fleas on her dog.
She was really worried about developing a house infestation, so she treated the dog and all of her cats right away. Since then, she's never seen a flea anywhere but on the dog (and hasn't even seen one there in a while), so if you act quickly, you may not need to treat your home. Good luck to you!
