I went around 8 or 9 am last year and had no issues getting what i wanted...tho i did go to multiple petsmarts after first wont let me use anymore coupons(after the first batch was in car i opened all the tidy cats and pulled out coupons and did it again...bought MANY MANY buckets

This year got a killer deal on science diet food and cat litter so will only hit it for the cat trees...I told my mom they were going to go on black friday sale as there were about 10 each at 2 petsmarts and in a baby blue about a week ago.

Probably try to get another 2 trees and call it quits as things are a bit tight at moment

Oooh I really like that Tidy Cats deal! I got the Black Friday ad leaked but hadn't checked it out yet. I have off that day so I might just fight some crowds in the later morning (forget doing the 4am thing again
)

I don't think that Petsmart would have the huge lines that say Walmart or Best Buy would have. (BTW, Walmart is having 3 starting times for their Doorbuster Sales - midnight, 5:00 and 11:00. At least they are trying to break up the bedlam!) Couple that with the fact that the majority of their stuff is for dogs... Well, I'm planning on hitting it later in the morning (you know, maybe 6:30 or 7:00
) and hoping the stuff I want is still there.

Ha, don't think so. I think more Canadians are shopping in the US than ever before - because of the deals and our dollar almost at par.

This is the first year we're actually going south of the border for Christmas shopping. I want to shop local, but the deals can't compare.

Aww, I'd love to but we don't have passports yet.
We need to hurry up and get on that because we're only an hour away from the border.

Lei, I picked up that exact bed today for the kitties!
They've all been taking turns.

Tidy cat is $9.99 right now if you don't want to wait. Just look for a label outside the container for the coupon. Some areas might have a gift card. We bought one the other night and was able to open the container and use the coupon right then.

There is a pdf $5/$5 PM me if you want it.

Ah... the FF, Drinkwell and Cat tree deals piqued my interest. That $7.99 bed... my boys have one and they like it, but sleep lots of places in my house, including MY BED!

LOL, I might have to try that. I'm not a huge fan of the original Tidy Cats Scoop (I like the Small Spaces kind), but for that price I'll just have to suck it up, I think. And I like the bed. . .the kitties need more beds, and that is a good price. And Cat Chow is only $9.99, plus a $5 gift card, PLUS I have some $6 checks from Purina (anyone else joined the Purina Pro Club? if you use Purina food and have/feed more than 5 cats, I highly recommend it), so if they let me use all the discounts I might be able to feed the ferals for free this winter!

I hate going to the city on Black Friday. And I never thought about going to Petsmart for shopping deals! I wonder is PetCo is having sales. I wouldn't be able to go until noon-ish. I wonder if that would be late enough for the crowds to dissipate, but early enough that they won't be sold out. . .hmmm.

ETA: do the Black Friday ads come out in tomorrow's paper? Or do they wait for Tuesday or something like that? I'm SO not a shopper that I've never paid attention.

We were at Petsmart tonight, and they have the notice up that they open at 7 a.m. on Black Friday. So you can sleep in - for BF shopping anyway!

The ads for BF come out in the Thanksgiving Day newspaper. It's always about 1" thick (in Denver) with less than 1/4" being actual newspaper.
Most places anymore post their ads online too.

That's an amazing price on the cat tree...very tempting! That tree is sturdy as heck. I used to have one here, and it was extremely popular!

Kass, you could come shopping here!

I remember now. . .
. I used to deliver newspapers when I was a teen. You'd think I'd remember something like that!
But just shows how much I DON'T pay attention to the sales ads, LOL.
