Today is National Feral Cat Day

Please support your local Trap, Neuter and Release organizations. The program really works! Feral cats are often fearful of people and not socialized, but we have a very loving calico living with us today, who was a former feral. Cats are amazing animals, aren't they?

Happy to say my husband made progress yesterday with one of the ferals we feed and want to get spayed. For the previous 3 days I was trying to get her to let me pet her, she'd just walk near me but run back down the porch if I tried to get too close. Hubby called me yesterday on my way to a friend's house to tell me he was out there being loved on by the feral kitty!! And her one kitten even trusted it enough to come up and eat with him a foot away.

We have TNR'd one so far, two more in the area to go. We definitely support National Feral Cat Day!
