My cats (Barney and Fred) were treated with Advantage for the first time on Saturday (by the vet during their annual exam).
Last night (Sunday evening), I noticed Barney was having some difficulty with one eye. He was squinting, scratching at it, it seemed watery, and the third eyelid was partially visible. I thought he might have gotten some Advantage in his eye, so I gently washed his eye with plain water. I ended up doing this several times (he hated it).
This morning he seemed a little better. I could no longer see his third eyelid, but he was still squinting that eye and was grooming it alot. I saw the suggestion about washing his paws and will do that this evening when I get home. I'm still concerned about his eye though. Do I need to take him back to the vet? Does Advantage just cause eye irritation or can it damage his eye?
