Oh my gosh, I'm seeing it now on CNN -- so glad you're in one piece! Sending no-more-shaking vibes...

How are the kitties handling it?

The deaf ones are finding it an adventure. Peedoodle, not so much. He is crouching near the bed.

I agree - my dad works for the power company so he is working overtime taking calls etc.

I am still shaking - the aftershocks are continuing...

You were the first I thought of when I heard it on the radio. Take care of yourself and the kitties.

I'll bet your cats are freaking out!

I have a friend in Christchurch...or, at least I did, the last I heard from him about a year ago. He was in poor health at the time.

Just saw it on the news a few minutes ago and was worried about our TCS friends in New Zealand. I hope everyone is okay. I heard you were having some pretty bad aftershocks.

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
Wow! to all!

I remember the first time we were in an earthquake. It was only a 5-something. But we were in the RV in California. The RV started jumping around. (No kitties yet LOL). We ran to door and looked out - and the trees all looked like they were dancing. It was very surreal. Even though it wasn't a very big earthquake, turns out we were within a mile of the epicenter.

Something that big with so many aftershocks has got to be scary!
