Dana got the promotion!
You guys have to understand how huge this is. Dana and I both work for the same company, me for 5, him for 3. In April I got the promotion I was going for and am quite happy. Well Dana is a superstar here. He always goes above and beyond, always takes on extra projects, hasn't missed a day of work in over a year, is well respected, etc. The others who are in the position he got have been with the company 10+ years! He didn't even think he stood a chance, but the hiring manager, came after HIM and asked him to apply! So of course this comes with a raise, his own benefits, more respect, a permanant shift, he's in a position of authority, etc.
I AM SO INCREDIBLY PROUD OF HIM! He's had a hard, hard life, has been through a lot and has come a LONG way. We are SO going to celebrate tonight!
