Willow trees and birch. They're so pretty and just not as common as other trees. Although I could not do without my pine trees.

I would have to say maples. Here in upstate New York, the fall is on fire with the colors.

It is truly breathtaking.

Willow trees. We have a place here in Southern Ont called Willow Grove and it was so full of them it was amazing and then one day a couple of years ago a wind storm came through this area and the distruction was heartbreaking. It seemed to go after only the willows. When I was a little girl my grandparents had a huge willow in the front yard and many a great time was passed under this tree. It is still there to this day but the house isn't as welcoming.

My favorite tree is the weeping willow. I love how the branches sway in the breeze and how the tree is shaped. Beautiful. Alas, we cannot have any on our property. Those trees love water and the roots will always grow toward the septic systems. DH won't plant any here.

So....my next favorite tree would be the maple. Our maples add beautiful fall color to our property. And I love the shade we receive in the summer.

I love dogwood trees and mimosa trees. I don't have either one in my yard. I have two huge oak trees that have been here at least 80 years or more.

There are ao many trees that are stunning and grand, but my absolute favorite is the Mimosa or "Silk" Tree........It has such a beautiful shape when matured and healthy, and the flowers are so stunning and last half the summer!

How can I pick just one?

In the fall I do love the color of the Maples... but there are a lot of very huge old rambly Oak trees around here and I love their character...

Willows are SO graceful in spring/summer - but a mess to actually have on your property in the fall.

On the other hand, I LOVE Dogwood trees in the spring when they're flowering.... Peach trees too.

....and Tulip trees are too cool.... and I love the Horse Chestnut....

And there's a gigantic Sycamore tree nearby that in Winter is absolutely amazing (love it with its leaves too, but its naked profile is jaw dropping stunning)....

But Banyan trees are also awe inspiring... and the Giant Sequoia (Redwood) trees are... something that have to be experienced, really.

I also love the Japanese Maples - so dainty. We had the largest Japanese Maple tree I've ever seen in the house we rented for a few years. My internet connection is too slow to post a pic right now.

...I just love trees!
