of your foster cats? It may sound strange, but there is a song that came out around the time that I lost my foster cat Tiger. She was in full liver failure when I took her home. I knew there was a strong possibility I would lose her, but hoped that some TLC would heal her. Unfortunatly it was not mean to be. The song that always makes me think of her is Toby Keith's song Cryin' For Me. When I used to listen to that song I would cry, now it's not so bad.
Fast forward to this afternoon. I was listening to another song and realized it reminds me of my current foster Nera Ann. The time is drawing near to send her on her way to a forever home. To celebrate her recovery, the recovery of another cat who had 2 badly broken legs, and thank your donors the shelter is having a donor appreciation that both Nera Ann & Bella will be attending. It has been a running joke that we are having a comming out ball for Bella. We realized there have been some people following Nera's story too, and decided to include her. So today when I heard Steven Curtis Chapman's song Cinderella, I started to tear up. I think it is a very fitting song for Nera & Bella. It would fit for any foster, or even any pet. We have them such a short time we need to enjoy every day with them & that song is a good reminder.
