IMO both are great grain free dry foods. EVO has a lot more calories (301 for 1/2 cup) and Wilderness only has (221 for 1/2cup).

I had to switch my cat away from the EVO because she was gaining to much weight on it and she also had some other issues. I actually just picked up a bag of Wilderness last night and she loves it!

I know Sharky will be along shortly to give you a better answer then I can give.

dry or wet?

Blue Wilderness has more fiber which some cats need, EVO has more protein, more fat but also more calories

It really depends on the cats needs, as well as yours (EVO tends to be the most exensive food) there is no perfect food - we feed Orijen which my cats (and vet as its lower calorie) prefer to EVO

Because of the cost and the caloric load, I only feed EVO as a treat. My boys LOVE the Herring and Salmon.

Wilderness IMO is a very good food - I think it has these bits in the mix .. that some cats like and others don't.

As Otto said - the best food you can afford that your cat will eat.

You don't have to pay more to get a good quality food. My cats love this, and so does my budget!

I think pretty much everyone here agrees that Kirkland is a decent food, and cost effective, but not everyone has a Costco near them or a Costco card

Evo= very good and as mentioned High calorie, higher protein and fat .... with about half the cats that try it ... it is too rich and causes digestive issues...Line has expanded to have a lower fat and less calorie version( do not be fooled it is still high calorie and moderate fat )... all fish one avail also

Wilderness is quite good and now with a couple flavors has more options .. a Huge plus is that the big box stores and small shops carry it thus easy for most to get ...

I prefer Acana( Orijens sister food) as it is not excessive in any area and solid... of course in the US its distibution channels are sometime s hard to come by( I worked for weeks to get it at a store I was consulting at )

Otto said it right ....

IMO the best food is Orijen... with that stated.... In my house right now I am feeding a mix of 50/50 EVO Salmon and Herring, and Orijen 6 fish.
Evo Salmon and Herring is less caloric than EVO (72 calories less per cup), and has also less calories than Orijen 6-fish.
I like that EVO is a high Protein and Low looooow carb - that is what my vet was looking for to put Bugsy on.

Yes, EVO is caloric but my findings is that my cats eat far less of it than the average dry food, so in the end they consume about the same amount of calories.

I feed 1 cup a day for Lucky and Bugsy combined, and Bugsy is a 19lb Raggie, Lucky is a 12lb Raggie. They are eating roughly 1/2 cup each, pretty close to a regular calorie food. It is quite filling.

Bugsy Has IBD, and yet he has not had any problems with this food, or with Orijen.

Now please note I am talking about the fish variety, not the regular one...
