Just wondering how many folks are addicted to E-Bay. What kind of things do you sell or buy? I love looking a pocketbooks, especially Kathy Van Zeeland. I have not done much selling, but lots of buying. I have purchased everything from shoes, clothing, jewelry, cosmetics, handbags, all sorts of things. How about you.

I LOVE to buy on e-Bay! I've purchased 12 (OMG!
) Coach handbags thru e-Bay. I also have purchased jewelry, costmetics, clothing, a vacuum, electronics, books, cat toys...oh man, one of everything, I think!

I've sold maybe a dozen things. So far, I have not had any bad transactions, or any purchases that I haven't been completely happy with.

Not so much anymore - and I never was nor will be a shop-a-holic. But I use to mainly use it for purchasing OOP import cds - typically Japanese presses. Both of Japanese bands and other bands Japanese presses that came with bonus tracks. Unlike buying cds from other sellers, you're almost always guaranteed that those will be in mint condition, otherwise a Japanese seller won't sell them since they actually have some standards.

I had my own store a few years back and would sell other people's stuff on consignment. Then, because I needed the money, I sold most of my doll collection, books, old records etc.
When I made good money I used to buy really special, hard to find gifts for my family members from eBay; I really enjoyed searching for just the right thing!

I turn into a seller on Ebay when I'm cleaning out my house. There are things you can sell on Ebay for a lot more than you can at a garage sale.

I buy things on Ebay for my business - you can get things in bulk there for less than what you would pay in a store.

For general shopping, I like Etsy better than Ebay, but I really like home crafted items.

and I have a perfect score, so far. Only been really burned once, and it didn't cost me anything; I just didn't get what I had won an auction for, and the seller refused to deliver it for the price I won it at.

I have a car and a van on ebay, and been pleased with both. I also got furniture for the garden, a statue and some needlepoint craft work to do. i have not been so pleased with clothes - a suit and a dress were both unwearable. I have never sold anything except a week in my cottage, the prices were just too low.

I was both an active buyer & seller in the past. I would buy used/new CDs really cheap, new tshirts, buttons/pins, and posters/memorabilia for my favorite musicians. I would sell new shoes usually - I'd find brand new Converses All-stars really cheap and sell them, usually making a $10-20 profit each time. I love bargain shopping but don't have a disposable income, so it was a win-win - finding things cheap, then re-selling for a profit.

I got burned one time - was buying a poster displayed on NYC subways for musical RENT - never got the poster. I think what happened was that the seller was having issues, got a bunch of negative feedback, then the account was canceled. I was out $50.

Over a year or so, I built up a good account, maybe a few hundred positive ratings. Then I got an email saying someone tried to hack my account and I needed to email them a scan of my drivers license. I thought that sounded suspicious. Rather than emailing them the drivers license, I decided to not do anything... therefore my account was closed.
I haven't shopped/sold there since.

I miss the extra money but don't miss going to the post office to mail stuff.

I have both bought and sold on Ebay. Never had a bad transaction and everyone that bought my junk has been happy. A couple of years ago, I sold an old Xbox (not the 360). Funny thing is, I sold it for about the same price you could buy a new one! I guess they had stopped selling them back east. It had been used a few times and included one game and 2 controllers. I had sold the other games previously. I had won the XBox when the cafeteria at work had their grand opening.

I need to list a few CDs right now.

I love Kathy too and buy her bags on QVC. I'm using my newest one right now. Her prices are great on QVC, I have about 4 of them right now. Her hubby B. Makowsky sells them too but they are a little too expensive for me.

I never ever go to E-bay.

I buy a lot of books and things for the kitties on Ebay.
I tried to see a few times but never really had much luck so I gave up on it.

LOL I just listed the new Sanctus Real CD that was just released yesterday. DH and I about froze to death at their concert last night. (It was outside) I had won VIP tickets and they included a meet and greet along with the CD. The CD is autographed by the entire band! And since we have 2 of them, I am selling one of them on Ebay.

Great concert BTW, even though we had to leave partway through. There were 4 different bands and Sanctus Real was the last one to perform. We listened to several songs then had to leave.

I
eBay. I love to buy books and I bought several pairs of new clogs from a uniform shop that was going out of business. I haven't tried selling myself, but that is mostly because I am so terrible with attempting to post pictures.

Oh Catkiki how nice to win VIP tickets! I like the song "Whatever You're Doing" by Sanctus Real. So powerful. Other than that, I don't know any other song by them.

Yes I buy from eBay. It's nice to save 30-60 percent on stuff. Lately however, I've been using Amazon.

If you like Sanctus Real, you should get the new CD. It is awesome!

I have a trust issue. My father always told me never to buy anything sight unseen.

I like Craig's List. I sold a barristers bookcase in about an hour. It was picked up and I didn't have to bother with shipping etc.

I don't buy too much anyway. Seems all my money goes to catfood, litter and the vets!

DH buys and sells sports memorabilia on ebay and had a problem once with a seller who didn't send what DH had purchased. He got me a cute little cookie jar in the shape of an orange cat. That came from England without a scratch or chip. He bought a limited edition print of Charles Wysocki's Elmer and Loretta Hanging Out. It came with the Certificate of Authenticity; he took into town and had it framed. It's beautiful and hangs in our computer room. (When he went into the shop to pick the print up after it had been framed, the print was on an easel in the shop's window. And the shop owner offered to buy it from DH! He had had a few offers for it!)

I buy cookbooks for the most part. I did get a Three Mountaineers vintage spice cabinet with the spice jars, which is hung in the kitchen. I love that. I have another one, but outgrew that, so we decided to bid on that one and we won it. And I buy pieces to my Winterberry set of dishes that I use during the winter. I've never sold anything.

I am an ebay addict, but only from the buying aspect. DH constantly tells me I should become a seller, but I really don't want the hassle.
Most of DH's Christmas and birthday gifts come from ebay; he has very eclectic taste and I can find just about anything he might express an interest in. I make and sell crafts, and buy loads of patterns (sellers are now putting a dozen patterns on one cd instead of selling paper patterns, and I love that).
I buy hard to find books and cds for next-to-nothing (altho' sometimes half.com is better for that). A huge chunk of my doll collection has come from ebay, too, dolls that I never thought I'd ever see, let alone be able to buy.
I've been burned a couple of times.

I have never sold anything on Ebay, but I love to buy jewelry. I can get the kind of stuff for next to nothing there, but the only place I can buy it is in Myrtle Beach for an exorbitant price.
