I'm honestly not trying to be disrespectful. This is kind of hard since the reason this touches me is part of the problem.
Andrew Koenig passed away by taking his own life. It touches me because I am a huge Star Trek fan, and his father is Walter Koenig who played Chekov on TOS.
He didn't want to be labled 'Boner' Or 'Chekov's son' anymore, and I don't mean to lable him. It is very unortunate that the two ways that people know him are the two ways he didn't want to be remembered. His death has brought about a lot of focus on depression. I wanted to say that I feel horrible for his family and his friends, and I am terribly sorry that my feelings are there because he is 'Chekov's' son.

I think it is important to pass along the information to as many people as possible, because this may not be the way he wanted to be remembered, but maybe he can save lives with the help of his loving family, and the fame his father has.
